Konan’s words left the whole room silent, even me.

Being called Callum’s new wife in that manner sounded like an insult but I couldn’t pin why.

I looked up at Callum as he cleaned his mouth with one of the wet towels and slowly told me.

I held the table, my eyes on my nails as I tried to distract myself to avoid making eye contact with Konan who had been murderously looking at me as he spoke.

Just then, we all turned as we heard Callum’s chair squeak, he was standing up.

Callum stood, a few inches taller than Konan, he slowly turned to look at Konan.

“Watch your tongue, Konan,” he said, in a deep low voice that made me wish he used that kind of voice for me.

“You don’t know what you’re talking about.” He added.

“I don’t know what I’m talking about?” Konan replied in disbelief as he began to walk closer to them.

I could see his claws beginning to protrude as he got closer.

“I know you let Isabel die.” He growled.

“You were supposed to protect her, you bastard.” He growled, a little l

Lira pressed the rod closer, the heat intensifying getting hotter, Maggie’s scream turned into her crying louder, her body began to shake uncontrollably. “Please!” she cried out loud, her voice shaking as she cried. “I don’t know anything!” She screamed tears in her eyes. “I swear, I didn’t know it was Keira at first!” She cried as she begged for mercy. “Van Gav and Rory… they just said they wanted to know more about her and I needed the money they were offering too.” She screamed tears in her eyes. She looked around in fear, saying anything that came to her mind, and her whole body felt like it was on fire. She looked up at Lira again, but the woman didn’t look moved. She just looked down at Keira with empty eyes. “Stop lying,” Lira said, her voice cold and empty as she took a step backwards, she looked like her patience was beginning to run thin. She took a deep breath and set the rod down, forcing a smile on her face as she picked up the bucket of dark boiling liquid s

The light in the interrogation room was changed to a dull red, and the soundproof glass was raised, turning the room into a smaller cage. The soundproof glass had been installed to keep quiet the screams coming from the interrogation room. A few guards slowly walked into the interrogation room. Two of them walked in with a wooden table, while the other began offloading the contents of the boxes they had brought onto the table. Silver , silver metal rods, a stove, a packet of liquid silver, silver chains, silver hammers and nails, silver whips, and different boxes were filled with syringes and medicine she didn’t recognize. Maggie watched in horror as a guard dressed as a doctor began opening the boxes of medicine, mixing them and loading up the syringes. He had a mischievous smile on his face as he worked, humming silently to himself. The officer watched impatiently as the guards set up her tools, her eyes and Maggie’s eyes jammed for a few seconds and she gave her a cold smile.

The prison cell was cold, and empty except for the stone walls. The stone walls had large green sticky spirogyra stains with moisture, stained with the blood and bones of the prisoners who had been locked there before. Maggie sat on the edge of a rusted iron bench, her hands holding tightly to her lap, her brown hair had already turned to tangled strands around her weak shoulders.Maggie sat silently, her heart pounding as she listened for any footsteps, it meant her death or whatever they had prepared for her was near. She could barely breathe. Her mind raced, her heart pounding as she remembered everything that had happened that had landed her here. Van Gav and Rory had escaped. If it hadn’t been for them chasing her, she wouldn’t have ended up here. It was all their fault. Those bastards. She cursed them under her breath, as she dug her nails into her palms while trying to fight the panic that was growing in her chest. How did it come to this? She was Maya’s best friend, and she

  • The Chosen Mate Of The Lycan King   Chapter 76

It was a warm summer day, and as usual the market square was alive, bubbling, food sellers cooking, making roasted meat and fresh bread, when Konan targeted a man in a fine suit, he had long silver hair that shined under the sun. The man walked with such confidence and aura, his presence commanding, and Konan saw an opportunity. He knew the man must be filthy rich and anything he stole off him would feed him for a week, if he was lucky it could feed him for a month or even more.He waited for when the man wasn’t looking and quickly rushed past the man, his small hand silently slipping into the man’s pocket, his fingers felt around and felt a leather pouch, he smiled, preparing to silently pull out the pouch when a rough hand grabbed his wrist, roughly pulling him back. The man’s guards were on him in an instant, their faces looked cold and brutal, they all drew out sharp silver swords at once.He had felt his throat dry up in fear. “Thief!” one snarled, raising his sword to strike

The look on Konan’s face changed as tears began to roll down his face.“I blamed him,” he whispered, his voice breaking. “When you died, I thought he failed you..” he whispered.“I thought he failed us.” He whispered.“Our friendship… it’s been dead ever since.” He said and looked down, slowly looking at his hands clenching his fists. “And Keira… I hated her for taking your place as Luna. I thought she was the reason everything fell apart.” He muttered.Isabel looked down at him and slowly gave him a cold smile.“Keira,” she said, her voice filled with hatred. “She’s nothing but a pawn who stumbled into power she doesn’t deserve.” She said coldly.“Her rare wolf is mine, Konan.” She continued, a cold look in her eyes.“I’ll take it, and I’ll use it to crush Moonclaw.” She said as she stepped closer, her hand resting on his shoulder, her voice getting a little softer. “But I need you, brother.” She muttered.“You know Moonclaw’s weaknesses, their defenses.” She added.“Join me.” Sh

Rogue Island hadn’t been the same after the attack.Golden torches filled the walls, over the large emerald bathing pool where Isabel lay down, her hair floating all over the water like ink. The water was on high heat the way she liked it, it soothed her muscles, but it did nothing to reduce the anger burning in her chest. The witch’s words still repeated themselves in her mind, each word felt like a splinter under her skin.“Her wolf is too strong now… if you fight her, you’ll be torn apart.”Isabel looked to the ceiling in anger. The audacity of it, the implication that Keira, that weak, ugly Keira, could get the best of her, the queen of Rogue Island, it was an insult she couldn’t swallow.Isabel frowned, her fingers grabbing the edge of the bathing pool, her long, sharp nails scraping against the sides of the pool. The maid attending to her was a young girl with shaky hands who didn’t dare look up at her.She knelt by the pool, scrubbing soap into a cloth. Isabel could see th
