“You haven’t even touched your food for a while now.” Arthur, pointed out with a worried expression. “Did something happen?” He asked. Kiana, who was running the fork on her plate placed it down and looked at Arthur with teary eyes. “I’m just angry.” She said as the tears began to fall. “Did I do something wrong? I’m sorry baby, tell me what it is so I can fix it.” Arthur stood with a worried expression and crossed to Kiana’s side. Kiana, laughed through the tears as she sniffed, “No silly. You did nothing wrong.” “Then tell me who is causing my angel to cry and I’ll end them.” He threatened with clenched teeth as he held Kiana while she wrapped her arms around his waist. When Kiana had left the restaurant, she didn’t feel like going to her place so she said goodbye to Juliana and took a cab to Arthur’s house. He wasn’t around when she arrived but every staff member knew who she was. So, she didn’t need to introduce herself. Arthur was happy when he found her in his bed wearing
"I need you to help me trace a certain handwriting and find someone for me," Arthur said to Hayden over the phone. Hayden laughed before he responded, “This attachment you have, your fiancee might get jealous.” “Hayden, it’s serious. I think I was fooled.” Arthur breathed into the phone. Still struggling to believe his discovery and hoping he was wrong. “What do you mean? You’re not a person who can be fooled so.... “ Hayden asked with concern in his voice. But Arthur didn’t let him finish when he cut him off. “By my grandfather. He gave me a letter some years back, but I just asked Kiana about it and she said she didn’t write any letter. Six months ago she told me why she left me, but I was so busy in my thirst for revenge that I didn’t realize it until tonight.” Arthur admitted his mistake as he ran a hand through his hair. “Why are you so worked up over a letter? Do you think you ruined an innocent man?” Hayden asked as he tried to put the dots together. “No, I’m very sure a
Arthur had driven to the police station and was sitting in Cade's office. Hayden had sent him his findings and apparently, the man in the picture was Cade, Arthur hated him because of the interactions he witnessed during the Arrest of Daniel and Annabel. "Is there something I can help you with?" Cade asked when Arthur kept quiet as he threw daggers at him. "Kiana Frost. How do you know her?" He asked through clenched teeth. Arthur's heart was boiling at the thought of Kiana dumping him for Cade only for him to abandon her when she needed him the most. He planned on making him pay if his assumptions turned out to be true. "Kia? Why would you ask about that?" Cade eyed him suspiciously. He knew who Arthur Reed was. He also knew his reputation and how everyone feared to cross him, but for some reason, he hated it when others felt like they should be worshiped. "I ask the questions and you answer them. Unless you'd like some sort of motivation which I'll be more than happy to
A dry laugh escaped Kiana’s lips as if she had just heard a joke of the century. She looked at the man before her with cold eyes, “So, this was going to be some sort of reunion?” “What do you mean?” Joshua asked. “Arthur is my husband-to-be. The next time you have something as stupid as that to say about him, you better have a lawyer backing you because I’ll do much worse than he did!” Kiana spat coldly as she stood. Joshua panicked when he saw Kiana’s response. This was not how he had planned the whole thing in his head. “Kia,” “Don’t fucking call me that! Let me ask you a simple question, where the fuck were you when my mother was fighting for her life for ten years?” Her eyes were cold and the veins were popping out of her forehead from the anger that was threatening to be released. “I… I’m really sorry but it’s a long story my dear please-” Joshua stuttered but Kiana only laughed. “You can go to hell. Also, stay the fuck away from me unless you want Authur to take the remai
“Where is that question coming from?” Arthur sat up slightly while Kiana was still lying on his chest. After she had gotten in the cab, Kiana’s mind kept going back and forth to the conversation she had with Joshua. A part of her wondered if what he said had some sort of truth. She had hoped the sex would distract her from it but the distraction only lasted for a few minutes until Kiana began to feel the knot form in her stomach once again. Her heart raced, and a wave of unease washed over her. She couldn't shake the feeling of dread that what had been said about Arthur might be true. ‘What will I do if it turns out to be true?’ The thought hit her as she felt her mind racing with questions and doubt. After going through so much betrayal by the people she loved and trusted, she couldn’t handle another heart break. She wanted to trust him, to believe in him, but the seed of doubt had been planted, and it was growing. She felt torn, unsure of what to believe, unsure of who to trust
Arthur was on his way to see his grandfather when Nikolai called, "What happened? Did you find what you were looking for?" Arthur was being driven by Tim because he was in such a bad mood after his fight with Kiana, he didn't want to drive. "Everything was starting to fall into place and then it all fell apart in a blink of an eye. I mean how the fuck could I not know that the bastard, Hart, is Kiana's father?" He sighed. As he massaged his temples to stop the headache that was starting. "You're kidding!" Caspian gasped as he joined in the conference call. "I wish was joking guys, I just found out and we had a big fight over it. She wants me to drop everything but how the fuck can I when that has been my drive for the past ten years? How could she side with him?!" Arthur clenched his hands into fists. "That's fucking messed up!" Nikolai added, running out of words. "So, what's the plan? Should we meet now?" Caspian asked. "No, I'm here to meet Grandpa. Let's meet up later."
“Even when tied up to a chair you're still an annoying piece of shit!” The voice spat angrily. “I should have killed her and kept Annabel, but because you failed to take the company, I have to deal with this nonsense. Don’t think that your punishment is over.” He snarled at Angela. A cold shiver ran down Kiana’s spine. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing, but she couldn’t ignore what had been said either. “So, Angela was your little bitch all along!?” “My fucking slut?! You betcha. I united them with your sister and it was going to be a happy family but it seems you’re an enemy of progress!” “Which sister?” Kiana asked in shock. A laugh echoed in the empty garage and filled the air, Joshua and Angela shared a look before smiles stretched on their faces. Smiles that made her body suddenly feel so cold. “Listen, baby girl, Annabel is your half-sister. Your father cheated and your mother with her mother who then got pregnant. But he denied it because she was of no use to hi
“Why the fuck would I believe you?” Arthur’s nose flared. “How the fuck would I know that your grandfather has a thing for wiping Kiana out of this world?” Joshua answered in a voice filled with agony. Arthur shook his head slowly, “Not good enough.” Joshua cursed under his breath as he looked up at Arthur, “Listen, I really didn’t want to come between whatever you had going on, but after what you did to me, I guess I should enjoy saying this to you.” He laughed. “Your mother wasn't killed by me, stupid boy!” Arthur saw red, his veins popped out of his forehead but he maintained a calm expression despite the chaos that was brewing inside him, looking for an escape. “Who killed her?” He asked in a deep low voice. Joshua laughed his sound filling the air, “You focused so much on me that you didn’t see who your real enemy was. Why don’t you call him or don’t you have his number?” Arthur didn’t respond. “If I see them roaming around Graden city, I will kill them. That’s a warning a
