When I returned, Mrs Ovie instructed me to schedule a meeting between her and a representative of a leading financial institution in two days. The company was to acquire a bank loan in a few days for a building project.

I took it as a sign that she was more confident in my abilities since she let me handle more important tasks these days. I had just finalised the details over the phone when Melody walked into my cubicle.
