The days became essentially beautiful, Máximo had become a gentleman and the man that any woman would dream of.
However, although Isabella could not ask for more, she was often afraid that her bubble of happiness would burst and end up colliding with a sad reality.
Could it be true, would it be like this forever or was their change momentary because they were alone on their honeymoon?
Isabella watched from the balcony her spouse, who came out of the beach in his small bathing suit, with that air so attractive and manly, with his muscles dripping, her heart gave a startle as always happened when she saw him.
There were many doubts in Isabella's mind and heart, yet there was only one certainty, something she had discovered only recently and with which she no longer doubted she had fallen in love with Maxim Collins.
For some time, she had guessed it, did she like him, was he attracted to her or was he love?
He spent many days thinking about that possibility, while they walked along the beach, took tours through the island's vegetation, swam together in the pool, watched the sunsets together or saw the stars at night.
As they had conversations about their lives or made love in different rooms of the house, every time she felt that tingle, every time she saw it, or he kissed her sweetly, the same question came back, was what she felt love?
Until one night, when Isabella woke up scared in the middle of the night, due to one of the many nightmares that approached her from her past life as a homeless person, Máximo hugged her.
He pressed her to his chest, comforting her, while she whimpered nervously and tremblingly. Isabella had already spoken a little to her spouse about that stage of her life and Máximo understood her fear.
"Never again... You will never go through that again in your life, I promise you that I will make sure that it is like this..." Maximo murmured and then kissed Isabella's head. "I'll see that you're happy and forget all that."
Isabella clung to Maximo's embrace, feeling how his words gave her the security she needed, and after a deep and intense kiss, the night ended in the complete surrender of both, while they made love.
Máximo fell asleep on Isabella's chest, while she gently caressed his dark hair, still unable to sleep, she contemplated him in the middle of the faint darkness and there, while she admired him feeling full of happiness, she knew that she had fallen in love with that man.

On the beach, Máximo saw his spouse watching him from the balcony, he smiled at him from a distance, Isabella smiled back and returned to the room, where the staff was in charge of collecting the bags, because the honeymoon was over, it was time to return to the city and start his new life.
"Shall we go to your family's main mansion?" Isabella asked, feeling somewhat anxious, when the car that had picked them up from the airport started.
"No, well, we'll have to go visit later..." Máximo lightly squeezed Isabella's hand, to reassure her. "But we won't live there, we'll live together in my apartment."
Isabella's relief was instantaneous and feeling much calmer, she leaned back on her spouse's arm, who was still holding her hand very securely.
On the top floor of a gigantic and luxurious building, Maximo's imposing penthouse stood out from any apartment, compared in space and distinction.
Isabella could not believe that this would be her new home, the place was gigantic, modern and beautiful, a huge room stood out at the entrance, furnished with angular sofas and a coffee table, the walls were decorated with some paintings and the wall at the end was completely made of glass, so it offered a spectacular full view of the city.
A line of employees was waiting for them, and they all bowed on their arrival, Máximo introduced his spouse, sending everyone to follow Isabella's orders, as if it were himself.
When touring the place, Máximo showed the young woman all the amenities she would have, luxury kitchen, large dining room, different bedrooms with bathrooms and the impressive master bedroom, it was just the basics.
The penthouse also had a gym, a private office, a furnished balcony, a second room with a varied library and a beautiful white piano that caught Isabella's attention.
"Do you play?" she asked, sliding her hand over the instrument.
"No," he replied, approaching from behind and observing the polished keys. “It's been a long time since I played.
"Then why do you have it?" she asked, with a hint of sadness in her voice.
“It looks good for decoration. He replied, turning around to continue the tour.
An indoor pool sparkled with crystal clear water, next to a jacuzzi that allowed you to see the night sky through the glass wall, Isabella was stunned, but the most impressive thing for her was to learn that they had exclusive access to the rooftop, where they had a heliport.
It was night, after the tour the staff told the couple that dinner had been served, with some shyness and full of expectations, Isabella had dinner with her spouse, and then took a shower together and rested on the gigantic bed.
"Do you like it?" Maximus asked, hugging his spouse to his chest.
"Huh?"
"Do you like the apartment?" If you prefer, we can move into a house or a mansion. Just tell me what you prefer..." Maximo gently caressed Isabella's arm with his fingertips.
"No... I'm not sure. I used to live in the suburbs, so..." Isabella murmured, surprised by Maximo's question.
"Do you prefer the country?" I know the city can be overwhelming, but...
"I don't know..." Isabella sighed, thoughtfully. "It's just that... I haven't seen the best of the city yet, but I think I'll be fine here..." Isabella added, as she recalled her life on the streets and in the shelters, a shiver running through her body.
For Maximo, Isabella's reaction did not go unnoticed, according to what she had told him, she had led an extremely hard life in the city and the way she reacted, he still had not overcome it, he had not left behind that stage and those bad memories.
With a delicate kiss, Máximo made her momentarily forget all those bad memories, and then ended the night surrendering to desire.

It was strange, Isabella felt somewhat lost in her new home, she was not amazingly comfortable in that huge apartment, much less without the company of her spouse.
Máximo had returned to his responsibilities, so he had left early, while his spouse was still asleep.
Isabella would have liked to go out to visit her grandmother too, but she didn't really know how to get there from Maximo's apartment.
And despite making several attempts to communicate, she hadn't gotten any response or news from Margaret.
In the afternoon, Isabella was anxiously waiting for her spouse's return, she was thinking of asking Máximo to take her to the Sinclair mansion, because she had to go see her grandmother.
The young woman had a bad feeling, she couldn't stop thinking about why she hadn't been able to communicate or why Margaret hadn't called her back.
Something must have happened.
Something that Isabella would discover a few minutes later, when she was drinking tea from the balcony and heard a thunderous scream.
"Isabella!
The young woman peeked into the living room and, to her surprise, saw her cousin.
"Aiden!" Isabella exclaimed, running to embrace him.
- Do you see?! Aiden growled at one of the employees who was blocking his way. "I'm your cousin, Aiden Sinclair."
"Aiden, what are you doing here?" Isabella parted from him, confused by the sudden visit.
"I need you, or rather, grandma needs you..." Aiden replied seriously.
"What?" Why? What happened? Isabella began to ask, visibly upset.
"You have to come with me. Grandma is in a clinic.
“In a clinic? Did something happen to you?
"My father and uncle Hector sued the grandmother, claiming incapacity due to senile dementia and claimed her guardianship..." Aiden tried to explain.
- What?! Isabella felt a shudder in her heart.
Remaining silent, Máximo saw his spouse let go of her hand and go to the closet in his parents' room.He just watched her walk away not knowing what to say to her or how to cheer her up, how to take away that pain and make her feel better, it seemed like it had been a bad idea to let her come back so soon to that place so full of memories. The young woman approached a corner, bent down, sculpted for a while, very carefully among some boxes full of dust and from there, she took out a small box."What's that?" - Máximo asked seeing Isabella return with the box, she did not answer, she just left it on a counter, opened it and took some photos of it.Maximo saw the old and somewhat blurry photos that Isabella showed him, memories of her childhood, of a sweet and beautiful girl, happy with her loving parents.Isabella's crying intensified as she went through the photos, the moans became louder, Máximo couldn't take it anymore, after taking the last photo, he pulled her against his chest, s
The graduation ceremony was beautiful, each student went to the call of their name to receive their diploma and by the time it was Isabella's turn, Maximo's applause resounded in the room, who stood up to give his spouse a standing ovation, full of pride.Margaret was not far behind and little Albert, although he did not know very well what the party, he was at was about, followed the flow of his father and grandmother with joy.By the time the ceremony was over, Isabella said goodbye with nostalgia to her classmates and some friends she had made at the institution, while her family waited for her at a safe distance. At that moment, Máximo remained with a serious face, noticing how some colleagues hugged his spouse to say goodbye.During Isabella's four years of study, he had to restrain himself from jealousy with these subjects, so now that Isabella's studies had ended, Maximo also felt the relief of finally being able to take his spouse away from those vultures, as he used to call t
"How about everything, Collins? And my cousin? Isabella is there?" Aiden asked from the other end of the line."He's not here, he went out with grandma to the beauty salon, they're getting ready for the ceremony..." Máximo answered the phone."What a pity, I wanted to congratulate you, it's a shame that we can't be at Isabella's graduation, we really wanted to attend, but with so much work, it's been impossible for us..."Okay, she understands..." muttered Maximus."Even so, I must say that... I admire you, brother. I don't know how you managed all this alone..." Aiden said. Maximus smiled to himself. - Hey, tell her that I called her and that we send her congratulations and greetings from here..."Yes, I will," said Maximus when the shouts of a little boy interrupted the conversation."Is that Albert?" Don't tell me, they left you as a babysitter again..." Aiden blurted out in a mocking tone.- I'm not the babysitter, I'm the dad... and I do what I came to do, take care of my son, an
- Max, for what did you call us? Emily asked after greeting her brother and settling in front of the desk, next to Aiden."First, thank you for coming..." Máximo clenched his jaw, a clear sign of how tense he was."Collins, you're making me nervous... Don't tell me something else happened, because..." Aiden blurted out, leaning back in his seat anxiously.- No, nothing bad has happened... It's just that..." Maximo exhaled heavily, clearly uncomfortable. "I called them to ask them for a favor...""A favor?" Emily raised an eyebrow, in disbelief.“Yes, a very big favor...- Speak now, man... So much extension to ask for a favor? Aiden asked, somewhat amused.- Well... As you know, Isabella will give birth in the next few days, in fact, we are just waiting for the moment to come and, well, I thought that after a few months, when the recovery process passes and we adapt, I... I'd like to... Taking her back abroad...- What?! Aiden and Emily looked at each other, confused.- Listen... It i
Everyone was surprised, Ricardo practically froze for a moment."I warned you; you are wretched, unhappy... I warned you and you didn't listen to me..." Maximo growled, wielding the weapon at Ricardo."I... Lord... Hey... Collins..." Richard stammered, raising his hands slowly, as surprised as he was frightened.- You hurt my spouse, you disobeyed me, and you are going to pay dearly ... - Maximo said without cleaving looking at him frowning."Mr. Collins..." groaned Ricardo, swallowing thickly, trembling, closing his eyes when he noticed Maximo's determination."Max..." Isabella muttered, approaching her spouse, while speaking to him in a tone full of sweetness."They tried to hurt you..." Maximo growled at Isabella, without turning to look at her, because he knew that she would give in as soon as he met her eyes."But they didn't, look at me, honey..." Isabella insisted, getting closer."This is just something dirty, Max... I'm fine, I'm safe... Safe and sound. Isabella was already a
"Isaac! Isaac! Maximo shouted full of frustration, but the driver had already hung up.Máximo tried to call again, however, it was not possible, as the tone indicated that the device had been turned off."Damn!" - Maximo growled, hitting the steering wheel. "Those wretched Sinclair’s, they're going to pay me."Máximo murmured thinking about what he had heard and seen on the video call, with that recording it would be more than enough to sink Héctor Sinclair for the death of Isabella's father. As for Ricardo Sinclair, Máximo did not see him appear on the scene, but for Máximo, it was certain that this man would also be implicated.Immediately, Máximo dialed the emergency number, remembering that Isaac said that there was a smell of burning wood. He still didn't know exactly what was going on, but it was best to prevent and call in the army if necessary. At least, he was already very close, and, in a few minutes, he could face those men, but in the meantime, he was mentally praying for
