Chapter 24

Christ knocked, and tilt his head into the door. Knowing his grandma doesn't leave her lights on even while she's in the room, he pushed further and switched on the light in her room to see vividly, but to his surprise, his grandma wasn't in her room.

Where could she be? He thought.

He quietly walked back to the living room and luckily saw a maid passing by with some ice block.

She stopped to greet him, and then he used the means to question her. "Where's my grandma?"

She jerked at the sound of his voice and lowered her gaze to the floor. All the maids in the house fear him, and no one dares to lock gaze with him.

"She's in the dining area." The maid responded, without waiting another seconds, he turned on his heel's.

On getting to the dinner, he saw her giving orders to the maids. Is there going to be a feast? Why so many dishes? He thought.

"Ma, I'm back." He said, walking towards her with his hands wide open for her to hug.

"Welcome back, son, how was your meeting?" She aske
