The morning sun broke through the curtains, warm light spreading across Calla’s room. She stood before the mirror, not just dressing for another day at work, but for blood. Tonight, she told herself, Damien Calloway would suffer. Not just die, suffer. Torture was the word. Torture in cold blood.

She slid on her black suit, sharp and neat, then pressed her lips together, painting them red to match her high heels. It was bold, it was dangerous, and it was fitting. She picked up her black bag, checked inside, and made sure her gun was tucked safely within.

Downstairs, the smell of food filled the air. Neva was already at the table, breakfast laid out, steam rising.

“This is a lot to eat,” Calla muttered, eyeing the plates.

“You’re eating for three, it's got to be a lot." Neva said with a shrug, chewing on her toast.

“I don’t feel like eating this. Some junk food will do. I don’t know, I just can’t eat this.” Calla shook her head and dropped into a chair. “I’m sorry.”

The car ride back to Neva’s apartment was quiet. Pierre sat in the front passenger seat, staring out the window. “You did good today, Pierre,” Calla said from the backseat. “I hope so,” he replied, not turning around. “This feels like lighting a fuse and not knowing how long it is.” When Neva pulled up to her building, Pierre got out with them. He stood on the sidewalk, looking unsure. “You’re not coming up?” Calla asked. “No,” Pierre said, shaking his head. “I should go home. My own place. Kai… he might call." Neva nodded. “Alright." “You’ll call if you hear anything?” Pierre asked, his eyes worried. “You’ll be the first to know,” Calla promised. She watched him walk down the street until he turned the corner and disappeared. A lonely feeling settled in her chest. Inside the apartment, the silence felt heavy. Calla stood in the middle of the living room, the boldness she’d felt facing Leo already fading, replaced by a prickling restlessness. “He was scared of me,” she said

He obeyed, his grip on her hips tightening. She felt her orgasm building, her body tensing. “I’m close,” she panted "Not yet" he pulled out to change positions, he turned her to face him, then carried her up so she could wrap her legs around him, he pushed back in and they both moaned in unison. He thrust into her again and again, their bodies moving together in perfect rhythm. He felt her tighten around him, her tits bouncing against his chest. She wrapped her arms around his neck, her face buried in his shoulder. “Fuck,” she gasped. “I’m so close, Rory. Please don’t stop.” “I won’t,” he promised. He reached up to take one of her bouncing tits in his mouth. He sucked hard, his teeth grazing her nipple. She screamed as her orgasm hit her, her body shuddering. He kept going, his thrusts never slowing. “We should leave the shower and take this to bed, " his hand reached to turn off the shower knob. "Okay," she said, her voice still shaky. He carried her out of the show

Rory hesitated. He looked up and down the empty beach. She was right. There was no one. He felt a strange mix of fear and excitement. Slowly, he began to unbutton his shirt. He folded it neatly and placed it on a patio chair. Then he took off his pants and shoes, leaving his shorts on. He walked down to the water’s edge, the warm sand under his feet. Vanessa watched him, a satisfied smile on her face. “See? Isn’t this better than standing guard like a statue?” The water was cool and felt good on his skin. He waded in until he was standing a few feet from her. He kept his eyes on the horizon. “You can relax, you know,” Vanessa said, swimming a little circle around him. “My father is not here. No one is here. It is just us.” “I am your bodyguard, ma’am. My job is to protect you, even from… from…” “From what?” she challenged, stopping in front of him. “From having a good time? From enjoying myself?” She splashed a little water at him. “You already crossed that line, Rory. Insid

Rory looked at the floor. He had no choice. “Yes, ma’am.” “Good. Bring the massage cream. It is in the bathroom.” Vanessa walked into the large bedroom. She climbed onto the big bed. She slowly removed the straps of her dress, letting it fall to her waist, exposing her bare back. She lay down on her chest. A moment later, Rory entered the room. He stopped when he saw her. His face was tense. “The cream, Rory,” Vanessa said, her voice soft. “Start with my shoulders.” He hesitated for a moment, then put the cream on his hands. He began to massage her shoulders. His hands were strong and firm. Vanessa smiled. This was even better than she had imagined. “You are very good at this, Rory,” she whispered. “Keep going.” Rory continued the massage, his hands moving down her back. Vanessa sighed in satisfaction. “Deeper, Rory,” she said. “I love it.” Rory pressed harder. He worked his way down to her lower back, his fingers digging into the tight muscles. Vanessa closed her

Leo glanced quickly at Pierre, who looked just as surprised, then back at Calla. He swallowed hard and nodded. “Yes. I understand.” “Good,” Calla said. She didn’t smile. She just held his gaze for a moment longer, then stepped aside. Leo practically scurried away, disappearing between the bookshelves. Pierre rushed over, with Neva close behind. “Calla, what was that? You scared him half to death!” “Good,” Calla said, watching the spot where Leo had vanished. “He needed to be scared. He needed to see that I’m not afraid. Now, when he talks to Ricardo Mendez’s people, he won’t just talk about a message from a woman. He’ll talk about the woman who looked him in the eye.” Neva let out a long breath. It was a huge risk. But she saw the steel in Calla’s eyes. The decision was made. There was no point arguing now. “Now,” Calla said, turning back to them, her heart pounding but her face calm. “We wait for the text.” * * Meanwhile in Lancaster's Mansion, Alfredo Lancaster kno

Knock. Knock-knock.The sound was quick and sharp on Neva’s apartment door. Calla froze, a piece of toast halfway to her mouth. Neva was on her feet in a second, moving silently to the door. She looked through the peephole.“It’s Pierre,” she said, unlocking the door.Pierre slipped inside, his face alive with a tired energy. “I have it,” he said, waving two folded papers. “Straight from Kai. He was up all night on this.”“Is he okay?” Calla asked, her concern for a moment outweighing her curiosity about the list.“He’s… worried,” Pierre admitted. “But he did it. For us.” He walked to the kitchen table and they all sat down. The papers crackled as Pierre smoothed them out. Names, numbers, and short, sharp notes filled the pages.“So, this is the list” Calla asked, her eyes wide as she scanned the dense information."Yes that's what Kai told me." Pierre said. “The people who bring the stuff in. The people who move it around. The ones who are strong, the ones who are weak. Kai explained
