Alexandra's POV

The Next Day. Morning.

I cleaned my hands with the napkin, looking pleased as I was able to make breakfast. Thankfully, my mum wasn't around.

She was to spend the night at the orphanage home, her workplace, and would be back this morning. Maybe late.

I went back to my room to wake Julian up, it was past 6 AM already and we needed to prepare for work. I pushed the door but was surprised to see his back, standing tall in front of me. He buckling his wrist watch, before bending to put on his shoes.

“G-Good m-morning,” I stuttered, my face went red when he turned to me. He pressed his lips together, acknowledging my greetings with a curt nod.

‘Is he trying to act ignorant now?’ I thought, standing at the door. He picked up his car keys before walking towards the door.

I avoided his gaze and left the door, wanting to see if he was really gonna leave like that. He gripped the doorknob, about to twist it before he cast me a glance and I looked away.
