LANA'S POV

"Did you talk to your father about the baby thing?" I asked Dax in the car as he was dropping me off to my place.

It was strange for his father to just make a demand like that as if he had any right or whatsoever to decide when Dax and I should try for a baby. I really did not want his demands to ruin my plans.

"I did, and he just..." Dax scratched his head, "he still insisted that we get him a grandchild before he assigns his shares to me."

"Dax, we signed a year contract for me to your wife. I can't have a baby," I hoped that he'd feel the same way.

"I know that we did not agree on a baby, but Lana, please. You will be a part of it, and I will pay you double the amount that we agreed on, I promise." He tried to negotiate with me.

I sighed. "I'm on birth control."
