Angry Cute Eyes

Keith looked at her with guilt.

'Damn it! I made her cry.'

She looks at him with a set of angry cute eyes before storming upstairs.

Keith stood up, ready to come after her, to punish her for insulting him, but he currently can’t do that.

They were silent until they heard a yelp and an engine roar outside the house.

'Sue me. But, I never felt guilty for lying. I believe it was beneficial. Until Vale, of course.'

Keith sighed and reached for his phone in his back pocket, scrolling for Brandon’s name on her phone and texted him to follow Vale before putting it on the table.

'I was sooo in trouble.'

“What did you do?” Caleb asked.

He crossed his arms as he looks at Keith with a cold expression.

Keith looked at the guys who were currently surrounding him—preventing him from coming after her.

“I lied to her.” Keith sighed as he ran his hands on his hair and look down. Guiltily.

A sudden pain shot through his jaw, making him look at them with wide eyes, shocked.

He was not expecting this.

They were furious.

He received a few more punch and kicks as he tried his best to defend their attacks.

However, he didn't have a choice when they force him to fall on the floor. They continue to hit him, and most of them landed on his face.

Keith didn’t fight back.

He wanted to argue that it was just a lie. Yet, the guys are acting so offended by this.

Damn! They hate where his popularity comes so much.

What if Vale doesn’t want him anymore?

Geez. She already leaves you.

His conscience speaks.

“Fix it. I don’t want to see your face. Not until Vale comes back." Caleb storms out of the house, followed by Jake and Brett.

Keith looked at Dylan, raising his eyebrow as he panted on the floor.

Dylan surprisingly took a barstool and sat in front of him.

“Man, you mess up bad.” he folded his arm across his chest.

“I know.” Keith groaned as he tries to sit up.

“She never cries.”

Keith closed his eyes as he ran his hands on his hair, “I know.”

“She cries twice in two days.”

“Damn! I fucking know it, Dylan!”

“Good.” he got up from the barstool before walking behind Keith and tapped his shoulder.

Or gripping it?

“What do you want me to do?”

“You know we love her like our sister, Keith. So, get your ass ready and bring her back before we break your bones in half,” he said in a threatening tone before walking away.

Keith nodded his head silently. He cursed at their protectiveness over Valentina Rodriguez.

The woman who messes with his head from the very first time he saw her.

He had been threatened worse than this before. But, his own best friends?

“I am their fucking leader!” Keith helplessly shouted to no one in particular.

His phone on the table rang, and he slowly stood up and limped towards the table. Keith saw Brandon name’s on it. He picked it up and put it on his ear.

“Sir, we lose her.”

Keith sighed, annoyed, “How did you lose her so easily? You’re the best in following a car!” he yelled in frustration.

“We’re five cars behind her, and she didn’t stop when the traffic light turns red,” Brandon explained.

Keith rubbed his temple.

What did this woman think she was doing? She could get killed doing it!

“How about her tracker?”

“She turned it off, sir.”

Keith huffed, “Keep searching.”

He ended the call, look around and realize that Dylan was gone.

Great, now he's all alone.

Keith opened his contact list and search for Vale's name. He dialled her number, but she’s not answering. He dialled again, again and again, but she never picked up.

'Oh, come on!'

Finally, he settled on sending a message to her.

To: My Vale

Me: Princess, where are you? I’m genuinely sorry. Come back, and I’ll explain, please? They’re gonna kill me if you didn’t come back. Baby, please.

He typed as fast as he can and hit send.

He knew she’ll scoff at this. But remember the attraction that they had?

Yeah, that’s it.

He just hoped that the attraction will never wear off.

He never begged for something so small like this.

'Kill me, but I can’t help but want to live my life in peace.'

But now, my source of peace was gone.

Princess, where are you?

Pfft. You’ll never be in peace.

My conscience speaks.

God, why did he have an annoying conscience?

Keith looked at his sent message once more.

Hmm...perf-wait!

Why is the word baby in there? Where did that come from?

Oh, no!

He gaped, his mouth hung open.

Oh, no!
