I stay around for as long as the nurses and doctors run around to take Zeno's blood for tests. For the entire time, I hold his hand to show support for everything he has to go through.

Not even for a moment can I say that I know what I'm doing. Every time Zeno glances at me, I smile, but the only reaction he shows is a slight frown that keeps deepening.

Whatever the fuck I did wrong, it has to be grand because this is the first time he looks at me like this. Even on our wedding day, when he was literally forced into marriage with me, Zeno didn't look at me like this.

I want to leave the hospital, to run away from the judgement in his eyes and find myself before I have to face him again.
