Chapter 17: Getting Close to Almyra

After meeting his childhood friend, Valentino, who was quite tired because of his busy activities that day, decided to go straight back to his apartment. But really unlucky for him, at the door of his apartment there was already a woman he did not want to meet, Almyra, David Araya's secretary who seemed interested in him.

He wanted to turn around but she already saw him.

"Calvin, you're finally home," Almyra said.

Valentino nodded and gave the woman a fake smile.

"Yes. Is there anything I can help you with?" Valentino asked.

"Oh well. I made two pans of chocolate brownies and I want to give you one of these pans. Do you want?" Almyra said.

Valentino glanced at one pan of chocolate-flavored brownies. Actually he didn't like cakes that were too sweet but Valentino was not a cruel person to refuse food from other people.

"Yes, of course. I'm glad to accept it," Valentino said.
