Chapter 9: I hope we never meet again!

"Mr. Harris, I'm very grateful that you saved me from the pool and stole my first kiss," Roxana Nelson said with a blushing face, a hint of sweat glistening on her forehead. She licked her lips and continued, biting her teeth, "Please, don't bother me again. I'm just an orphan girl with nothing, no money, only this life. Please, spare me!"

The elevator stopped on the 26th floor at that moment, and the doors opened. Richard Harris had a complex look in his eyes. He hadn't thought about her being an orphan, but her tone of voice lacked any trace of pleading. It was more like a command.

Roxana Nelson forced a hesitant laugh and prepared to leave the elevator. Well, he didn't stop her. Roxana Nelson felt satisfied, teasing him with her tongue in that fleeting moment.

Then she stepped out of the elevator. Before the doors closed, she turned back and said to Richard Harris, "Thank you again for saving my life, Mr. Harris. I hope we never meet again!"

Richard Harris was slightly taken aback.
