Masuk–ALORA EUNICE’S POV–
He's too close, and my heart is uncontrollably pounding hard and fast.
"Stay here. I will call someone to treat your injury." Rome said. We entered one of the hotel's offices and he put me down on a sofa.
"T-Thanks." I said, feeling a sudden embarrassment when I realized that he must have endured my weight until we arrived here. I am not that heavy, right? I made a little flutter kick but immediately stopped when I felt the pain on my foot.
I behaved myself when an attending nurse arrived and immediately gave me first aid. Rome sat beside me, moving little to give space between us. He’s watching every process of tending to my sprained foot.
"Don't ov
—ALORA EUNICE’S POV— I felt so lightheaded when I woke up from a long sleep. It was so long that it felt like I was in a dream. This… This is Archi—Rome Archillus’ villa. Is it really a dream? It felt so real. I looked at the cotton shorts and sleeveless top on me. My eyes became teary when I saw the bruises. I went to the closet to get something to cover—a robe. Last time I remembered, I was wearing a wedding gown. What happened? And where’s my little Archi?! “Archi? Are you here? Archi—” “Madam! You’re awake!” A familiar face showed up in the room, surprised to see me standing. “Lanie… why—did you see a little boy with me?” I said. This is not a dream… “Oh… do you mean your son? He’s with Mr. De Herrera on the other room–” “What?” My eyes widened. Does this mean… no way! “Excuse me,” I said—went outside the room—heart racing so fast like I was in a marathon. “Archi!” I opened the door and found the two sitting on the bed. My little Archi eating and Archi as
—ROME ARCHILLUS’ POV—“… you’re a genius, kid!” Gaius exclaimed but even Franco and Marcus were puzzled too like me. “This is a recording pen, for your information.”When we watched the recordings, I almost lost my temper. It’s so inhumane and to know that my son witnessed all of these? Such a trauma for him.“I will make him pay,” I said, jaw clenching.“Archi—”“I know Gaius,” I said to him, knowing that he will insist on taking this legally. “Marcus, where’s the info I need about their f*cking family?”“All ready, bud.”“Good, thanks.” I didn’t hesitate to make my move but this time, legally. “Kiddo,” I said, kneeling in front of my son while he was sitting at the edge of the bed—staring at me. “I’m not kiddo, I’m Archi.”I sighed and messed up his hair.“Alright, Archi then.” I said. “I’m going somewhere and taking care of some things.”“Are you… are you leaving… again?” He said, almost a whisper.“I will come back. I promise.” I said, assuring him. Is he afraid that I won’t co
—ROME ARCHILLUS’ POV—“What if we just kidnapped them before they reached the wedding venue?” Marcus suggested.“Do you want to go to jail, man?” Franco asked, shaking his head because of Marcus' craziness.“It wouldn’t be considered kidnapping as long as the individual is willing, and we didn’t have ulterior motives,” Gaius explained.“See? Coming from our lawyer friend,” Marcus said, smiling from ear to ear. “The question is… is she willing to go?” Franco uttered and looked at us.“She will,” I said with confidence in my voice. These three are all willing to help me save my family. Franco’s the driver, I am at the passenger seat, and the two at the backseat. We tailed the white van and it did stop at the gasoline station as we presumed. Gaius’ plan did work. The back tires were flat.Marcus paid the innocent driver and the assistants.I opened the van and the first one I saw was the scared kid holding her mommy. I looked at Alora Eunice and she’s half-conscious. What’s going on? Sh
—ROME ARCHILLUS’ POV—I cannot move—speechless after confirming what I thought was impossible…Damn… I have a son, and his name is Ray Archillus… De Herrera.“I am right! F*ck, I was right!” Gaius exclaimed while looking at the DNA result which he grabbed from my hand.“He’s five, Archi. He’s five… What's your plan?” Franco asked, waiting for my response. Plan? What plan? The fact that I have a son with Alora Eunice is such surprising news. My thoughts were still processing.“But you don’t want a kid, do you?” Marcus asked, frowning at me.“What the f*ck, man? It doesn’t mean he didn’t want a kid, he wouldn't take responsibility. That’s so coward, you dumb*ss,” Gaius scolded Marcus’ who doesn’t plan on getting married and building his own family. They argued but that’s the least of my concern. “Archi,” Franco called my attention. “Don’t tell me you wouldn’t—”“I need to talk to her,” I said flatly.“Yeah… that’s the first thing you need to do.”I coincidentally met Alora Eunice at
WARNING: Mature content, abuse (Read at your own risk)—ALORA EUNICE’S POV—“A-Archi,” I stuttered as I was surprised by this sudden interaction. This is the closest one so far since I came back. My heart pounded so loud that I am afraid he might hear if I wouldn’t step away from him. “I mean… Mr. De Herrera.”He looked away when I said that. I was so startled that those words just came out from my mouth. “T-Thanks,” I added. He fixed his wrinkled suit with a straight face and proceeded inside without a word. My lips formed into a thin line—I composed myself and went inside to meet my clients. In a most awkward coincidence, his table is just next to ours.I could easily see him in my peripheral view but I ignored him. I need to focus. Focus, Alora. You’re working.I was distracted again when a familiar face showed up and sat on the chair across Archi—I mean, Rome De Herrera. I should practice calling him by that name. He wouldn’t be pleased if he heard me again saying his nickname. I
—ALORA EUNICE’S POV—I was walking around the streets near the wedding gown boutique—worriedly crying—trying to dial my little Archi’s phone. Where is he? Why isn't he answering? It’s been an hour since he got missing! I swear, I will never forgive myself if something bad happens to him. “Where are you, Archi?” I mumbled to myself. My phone rang—the manager of the wedding gown boutique was calling. “Hello?”[“Ma’am, your son’s here.”]“Okay! I’ll be there,” I said, sighing in relief. I walked as fast as I could to turn back to the boutique. I saw my little Archi sitting inside the boutique waiting for me, and he’s with… Raña? Why are they together?“Mom!” Archi said the moment I opened the glass door. “Archi! Where have you been? Didn’t I tell you to stay here, hm? You made me so worried about you,” I couldn’t help but cry again while kneeling in front of him. I checked on him and thank goodness, he’s in a good shape. Nothing to worry about, I hope. But, nonetheless, I need to s
