CHAPTER 37

THIRD PERSON'S POV

All of Saturday passed, and now it's Sunday. After the conversation between Wayne and Leigh, they never spoke again. In fact, that was the last time the two of them met in that house. Wayne was leaving the house without Leigh's awareness if he wasn't inside his room. When the young man leaves, she is unaware of his arrival too.

Leigh couldn't help but let out a deep breath inside her room and lay on her bed.

"He's really a coward," she said to herself. Her back was against her soft bed, so she was looking directly at the high ceiling of her room. "I didn't think he could get angry with me like that just because what he wanted to happen didn't happen. Besides, I really didn't mean to get drunk like that. But, of course, he definitely won't believe me." Leigh can only complain and express her thoughts to herself; her only sure ally is herself, which is the reality.
