Chapter 13*The Marriage Approaching *

After buying my son a few pairs of clothes Clyde phoned me. He said we would meet up at Mariposa restaurant for our lunch. Within fifteen minutes we reached the place and I saw Clyde sitting on a chair, his legs crossed while he smoked a cigarette. He looked so mysterious and lonely. I didn't even know he was a smoker. It was only now that I saw it. He looked like he was in deep thoughts but like he had a third eye or something he glanced in our direction and our eyes met. His hazel eyes looked so dark and gloomy but his facial reaction did not change when he swiftly dipped the cigarette in his hand on the ashtray. I saw his eyes averted to our son who was busy looking around. If I'm not mistaken I saw relief flood on his face knowing our son didn't see him. Someone from his bodyguard came and handed him a bottle of cologne. He sprayed a few before walking to meet us at the entrance of the restaurant.

While we eat Clyde discusses our son moving to an elite school in St. Louis County.
