“I’m worried about Paisley.” I murmur, glancing at Ethan before returning my eyes to where the pups are running along in front of us. It’s boxing day and we’ve taken a family shopping outing. At the moment Paisley is hand in hand with her siblings, but her moods have been almost as variable as my own since yesterday morning.

After receiving Linda’s gift, I’d dissolved into sobs and Ethan pulled the pups away to give me some space, making more explanations about pregnancy hormones and wild emotions. I know all stories aren't going to be happily ever after for the main characters but at the same time they've been through so much and we're never really given a true chance because of manipulation from others and now this is just wrong and now you're forcing her to be with somebody else eww

it's not fair to the other man either because even though he had feelings for her she didn't have those feelings for him and now because he can't be with his wife he's going to push her off on somebody else and that's not who she wants she wants her husband this is wrong and unfair

I'm starting to regret finishing this book because I hate the path that I think it's about to take him trying to set her up with his former best friend so he doesn't feel as guilty because this man used to be in love with her
