I stood up from the ground and ceased the rain within the small clearing I was in with the flick of my wrist. I couldn’t sit there and wallow anymore. Self loathing wasn’t going to help. Practicing my powers would though. I needed to focus on anything other than Alpha Xander.
“Let’s train Weather.”
“Are you sure you want to do this right now? You know it takes a lot of concentration.”
“I’m sure.”
After listening and sniffing my surroundings to make sure no one was close, I summoned Weather. In no time, we were on all fours and I was looking down at Weathers sapphire blue paws that glowed under the moonlight. Our fur always showed bits of silver when under the moon to show we were blessed by the Goddess herself. The silver bits looked like raindrops were cascading down our fur but the real beauty was when we were running and the silver transformed into a torrential downpour.
“What should we train? I’ve been wanting to try summoning a mini tornado.”
“That’s going to take a lot of concentration and power but I know we can manage.”
In the beginning, my powers were linked to my emotions and it took a long time for me to manage my moods and feelings. By the time I was five, I was able to summon rain with the flick of my wrist instead of it only coming when I was upset. From that day forward, I’d always had a handle on my emotions.
The moon was shining high in the sky with little to no clouds so I knew it would be a perfect night to try something advanced, knowing we could pull strength straight from the moon. I dug my paws into the earth and was just about to try to summon the wind when Weather stopped.
“I hear someone,” she said. She lifted her nose into the air to smell the intruder when I was hit with the most intoxicating scent. It reminded me of the air after a thunderstorm mixed with pure male musk, instantly making me salivate. At that moment all I wanted to do was run in the direction of the scent and bury my nose in it.
I was kicked out of the trance I was in when Weather started panicking in my head. “It’s our mate! If we can smell him I guarantee he can smell us. I’m going to shift back then you need to summon the rain to wash away our scent.”
Less than a second later I was back on two feet and hurriedly put my clothes back on. I could hear Xander coming closer so I summoned rain before Weather retreated back into the depths of my head where no one but me could sense her.
“I thought you wanted him to know we were his mate?” I asked her. She’d been telling me we needed our mate for so long, hiding her seemed like the last thing she’d want.
“The time isn’t right yet,” was all she said.
“Why can I smell him now but couldn’t earlier in the dining room?”
“I blocked his mate scent from you so you wouldn’t freak out and run before you got the chance to see him.”
I rolled my eyes at her.
The rain poured down around me drenching my clothes and washing away the scent of Weather but nothing had ever felt better. I was always the most comfortable and calm in the rain.
Suddenly I heard the bushes across from me move and soon after a large gray wolf stepped out of the deep woods.
He was magnificent and easily one of the largest wolves I’d ever come across. His wolf was only a bit smaller than my fathers was but while dads wolf was midnight black, Xanders was a deep charcoal gray that reminded me of the skies during a storm.
I know I should have pretended to look afraid but I was too busy being captivated by the wolf of my mate. I shouldn’t be surprised by the size of his wolf considering he was mated to me, the rightful Queen, but I still couldn’t help but be amazed by him.
I felt a pang in my chest when he turned around and walked back into the thick of the forest, wondering why he was leaving but realized why when he came back in human form wearing sweatpants a few seconds later.
“Damn our mate is hot,” came Weathers voice. I wanted to scoff at her but couldn’t because fuck was she right. Now that he wasn’t dressed in his suit and didn’t have a shirt on, I could get a good look at him. He had hard, chiseled muscles in all the right places that could make any girl drool, with tattoos going down each of his arms and across his chest. His defined eight pack was glistening with the falling rain drops that fell until they reached the band of his sweatpants just below his delicious Adonis belt.
“Holy shit,” was the only response I had back to her.
I was fully aware I was staring and checking him out but I found it near impossible to stop. As his dark brown hair that was cut shorter on the sides and left longer on top fell down in front of his eyes, I couldn’t help but thank the Goddess for giving me a God of a man as a mate.
The dirty thoughts and images of him I had in my head made by not only my wolf, but myself too, evaporated when I looked up and found a smirk sitting on his plump lips. He caught me staring at him but to be fair, he was checking me out too.
The smirk never left his lips as he asked, “What are you doing out here all alone? Don’t you know the forest can be quite dangerous, especially at night?”
His voice was deep and sent a jolt down my spine that gathered right between my legs, causing an unfamiliar ache in my core. I could listen to this man talk for hours. Damn mate bond.
I looked into those silver eyes and wore a smirk of my own. “Don’t worry, I can take care of myself.”
“Is that right?” he chuckled, taking a few steps towards me. Goddess, even the sound of his laugh was beautiful.
I propped my hands on my waist and cocked a hip out. “Well that was until the big bad wolf decided to make an appearance.” I knew I shouldn’t be flirting with him but I just couldn’t help myself. “The real question is, what are you doing out here?”
I watched his silver eyes start to glow, letting me know his wolf was present.
“I thought I smelled something. It led me to this spot but now the scent is gone.”
He smelled my wolf and me. He smelled the mate bond.
Any normal girl would have told him he was their mate but my life was far from normal. It was only a matter of time before my life turned dangerous and having a mate was something I didn’t think would be good for me. A mate would be a distraction and just one more person to be used against me.
Didn’t mean I couldn’t have some fun with him in the meantime. He would probably leave tomorrow after his dealings with Alpha David and then I wouldn’t see him again until fate decided to bring us back together.
I woke up gasping for air, my hand on my chest as I sucked in as much oxygen as my lungs would allow. Xander sat up next to me, his eyes alert despite how tired he still was.“What is it, love? What’s wrong?”I took a deep inhale before letting it out slowly. “I had a vision. Of the rogue camp.”He pulled me to him, his touch and warmth calming my inner turmoil. “Did you learn anything?”I nodded, wringing my hands together in front of me. “They’re coming on the next full moon. Two thousand of them.”………………………………………..“Don’t you two look like you had quite the long night.”I rolled my eyes at Micah, a smile tipping my lips despite the effort I took to conceal it. It wasn’t really the time for jokes but I appreciated him lightening the mood.Madeline smacked him in the chest. “We’re here for a serious reason. You can make jokes after.”Thank the Goddess for Madeline. I couldn’t picture any other she-wolf keeping Micah in line. I think we needed her more than Micah did.We were all in X
My eyes opened to an unfamiliar area. I was deep in the woods, trees tall enough to reach the night sky surrounding me. Where the hell was I?Deep voices drew my attention. I walked through the forest, following the sounds. A large camp, hidden well behind bushes and thick tree trunks, spread out before me. Tents of all shapes and sizes were in the clearing, hundreds and hundreds of rough looking men walking around. Many were scarred and dirty looking, going about their night with torn and filthy clothing. If I could smell in this vision, the scent of rogues would be strong. I was grateful I couldn’t, not wanting to vomit in this state.I tried to count how many I could but more were pouring from the surrounding forest and exiting their tents. There had to be well over a thousand.A tent larger than the others was in the center. I walked toward it, knowing that was where I needed to go. I entered the dimly lit tent, men standing around a large table right in the middle. My heart tripp
I didn’t think it was possible for my dick to get hard again so soon but here he was, standing like a good soldier. Raina’s eyes flashed with hunger and it looked like I was her next meal. Her arousal was so fucking strong, clouding my mind and senses. The world could be on fire right now and I’d continue to fuck her in the ashes. Her heat allowed no resting periods. Her skin was hot and her wetness was coating the sheets beneath us. She pushed my shoulders, slamming me to the bed and wasted no time climbing on. I hissed through my teeth as she grabbed my cock and slid down my length, her pussy squeezing me like a vice. She was so wet and so warm. So perfect. So fucking mine. She placed her hands on my chest as she bobbed up and down, riding me like a pro. I grabbed her hips, lifting her up and slamming her back down. She threw her head back, lost in the throes of passion and pleasure as moans and whimpers escaped her lips.“That’s it, love,” I growled through clenched teeth. “Ride my
My skin felt hot. Too hot. There was a fire burning under my skin and it crept higher with each passing minute. An ache started between my legs, pulsing and angry. My heat had finally arrived and it was going to ruin me.“Xander,” I whispered, still in his arms in front of the bonfire. “We need to leave. Now.”He stiffened. I heard and felt him take a deep inhale of my scent. “Fuck,” he gritted out. “Let’s go.”He grabbed my hand and pulled me away, no explanation to anyone but they all knew. Madeline would probably have another hour before hers hit but mine was ready. This was only the beginning, the real fun would start once the moon hit its peak, and I wasn’t sure I was ready for it.The fire under my skin was climbing in height, the throb becoming unbearable. I whimpered, needing something. Anything.“It’s okay, love. We’re almost there.”We entered the house, Xander dragging me up the stairs and to our room. We made it one step through the door before my back was slammed against
Tonight has been a dream.I’d never felt so free yet connected in my entire life. I’ve been so alone for so long and tonight I felt like a part of a group for the first time. This is what it meant to be a wolf - to be part of a pack.Yes, pack runs are going to be a requirement in the Full Moon pack. We will need them, especially in the beginning when Xander and I will have to connect with the new members. I know the road ahead won’t be easy but so worth it.I’ve lived in chaos for far too long that I couldn’t even imagine what peace was like. I know I want it and will fight tooth and nail for it.The sky was dark and I was standing around the large bonfire with Victoria and Madeline, finally getting a chance to get to know the latter. This was going to be my group of girls moving forward and I wanted that unbreakable bond with them. The fire was warm against my skin and embers were flying in the air, swirling in a dance with the smoke. Members were gathered around, drinking and roast
Tonight was the full moon and it might very well be the last time my whole pack gets to run together. The moment was bittersweet.I loved these nights. Those who could shift would run around the territory before a huge party was thrown after where anyone could attend. I wanted this one to be special. It was my last one being the alpha of the Crescent Moon pack. Within a matter of days or weeks, I would become something new.King of the Wolves and Alpha of the Full Moon pack.It still didn’t seem real. I didn’t think it would until Raina and I took our spots in the castle on our thrones. I couldn’t picture myself sitting on some fancy throne with people bowing at my feet but as long as I had Raina by my side, it would be okay.Plus, Raina also hated the idea of people bowing. We lived in the modern world, not the medieval times where people put heads on spikes and had dragons guarding the princess in the tower. We wanted admiration and respect, not fear. The sky was just starting to da
