Dorian's Point of View

Flashback from days back before I began the search for Amelia

I was just healing from being poisoned in the bush where I went in search of Amelia who went missing. She had allegedly missed her way after being sent on an errand by his beta. I found her only after i fell on a tree branch that was laced with poison by who God knows.

I didn't know why I was feeling restless this particular day, maybe it was because of boredom, but I felt really restless and i was just staring at my ceiling all day

I needed to stand up from this bed and do something.

Preferably talk to Amelia.

I was slowly getting obsessed with her, I was very much aware of the fact that I was supposed to distance myself from her. That she was right and that the relationship we shared had a very dark past, but I was like a moth being drawn to a flame.

The circumstances surrounding our past was not so bright and I intend to take it slow and gain her complete trust. She was going to be my second chance Mate, my beautiful Luna I reminisced in my head after i banish my present Luna for her misdeeds.

My wolf growled in pleasure just by thinking about her. She really has that kind of effect on me.

She was the flame and I, I wanted her. She intrigued me, made me feel good, her thought rekindled a fire that I didn't know i had in me and I wanted more of that.

I stood up, she would be in the gym, that was for sure. She was taking the healers advice seriously as she was wounded when found.

It was quite amazing what her presence did to me and all I could consider at this point was how I could protect her and support her.

The door opened, and the healer came inside the house.

Speak of the Angel,

"Greetings Alpha, the poison has finished in your bloodstream, you should have some rest, your body is recovering fast," He jumped right into his report.

I didn't actually care.

"Move, I'm going out" I told him.

"But Alpha" He started.

"No buts." I started walking away then stopped.

"Actually, I've been meaning to ask, have you sought for a solution? To the heir problem?

"I want both my wife and your soon to be past Luna to be well" I instructed referring to my present Luna, Martha".

"The healers have decided to give the Luna some system-boosting medication. We started last week, and we expect to go for another one week before the system is strong enough to produce the child. Any rash actions could result in death of mother or child or both" He explained.

" See to it that you do everything in your power to make the delivery successful, I don't want any complaints, I don't want any mishaps, do you understand?" I asked.

" Yes Alpha" He nodded.

I swiftly moved past him.

The gym was my destination, I was almost certain that Amelia would be there. It was still amazing that she had found something to motivate her and occupy her time.

I bumped into Bolton, my Beta. I was still mad at him for sending Amelia out being aware she does not know her way around yet, even though he insisted that he had no idea of how she went out that day, Amelia maintained that a maid sent her instructions from the beta to go get some herbs she has never heard of or come across. It's still a mysterious matter and I cannot help but frown each time I come across my Beta.

"Hey Dorian, you're awake, I was just coming to you" He told me.

"Why?" I asked.

"I have to discuss something with you, concerning Martha" He told me.

Martha is my present Luna that will soon be Past, I thought within me.

"Well, I'm on my way to see Amelia, she's in the gym, I'm almost certain of it, Martha can wait, I couldn't care less." I told him while moving past him towards the gym.

He ran after me to catch up, I didn't look back as I kept a steady pace.

The truth. I really couldn't care less about Martha or anything concerning her, I was done past her in this moment.

" You might want to hear this? Also, don't you think you should check her in her room first?" Bolton asked referring to Amelia

" Yeah, okay, maybe, but the past few days she's always on the gym, I'll check the room first, also, about Martha, what is it that you have to say?" I asked. I just checked on her with the healer and i heard she's fine and well.

Turning the hallways of Amelia's wing, the first things I noticed were the guards.

All seven of them were asleep. I was speechless because it was obvious that they were sedated.

"Its, I've been noticing some of her actions, and they have been highly suspicious.. " he started.

I didn't wait for him to finish what he wanted to say. I broke off in a run.

I didn't pay the sleeping guards any attention, they were obviously alive, instead I burst into the room.

"Amelia?" I called, my voice was frantic at this point.

No reply.

"Dorian what's wrong?" Bolton called.

"Can't you see, Bolton. Those guards are supposed to be standing guard and yet they are asleep, someone sedated them. Amelia isn't in her room" I shouted.. Everything was really messed up at this time.

"Let's check the gym, and where is Bella ?" He asked, while we moved away.

"No idea" I replied, as I ran off.

The gym was a little far from her room but I got there in no time. The sight was beyond comprehension. It almost felt like hell had been unleashed on earth.

The gym was in flames. I struggled to be on my feet as my knees threatened to give up.

"If I stir one thread, I risk the entire cloth. I risk an unknown decision in the world, unlooked-for disasters, unlooked-for tragedies, a chain reaction with ghastly and far-reaching effects. I can change one thing, but in changing it, I may damn thousands more to suffering and death." He looked at the tapestry, at the pattern of cause and effect, at the balance of fate. "Every moment, every choice, is a strand of it, all woven into the fabric of the larger tapestry. To meddle with one thread is to risk unraveling the whole tapestry. “My history, my experience, all the hurt that I've endured, all the lessons that I've learned, they've hardened me into who I am. They've hardened my choices, my better traits, my strength, my compassion. I can't rip them out and remove myself. I can’t unravel the very thing that makes me me." Kali’s POVI waited patiently in front of the portal, the ritual I had offered to the Moon Goddess should have made the journey easier and smoother. The basket of food I had made remained on the ground untouched.Soon there was a sound that imitated that of a waterfall and Dorian appeared in front of me with the Moon Fang in his heard. He wanted to utter some words but stopped when he realized he couldn’t, he took a step towards me and fell flat on his face.“Don’t move. Just eat this” I said, handing him food from the basket. He looked at me in confusion before he slowly started eating.“To answer your unanswered question, you’re coming from a supernatural place. Your mortal body can only take so much. You need to eat to replenish your energy- and if you remember correctly, you weren’t able to move until the Moon Goddess told you to”He stuttered before being able to pronounce his words right. “I thought that was because of fear.”“No, your mortal body needed to be given a push from

  • The Luna's Rebirth (Awakening of the betrayed Omega)   The Final Trial : The weaving of Faith

And through the noise, he heard it. His voice. Not thundering, not booming, but clear, firm and commanding. One of not the greatest, one of the inner dedication of himself, of his own volition. "Keep climbing." And of course, he did. Barging through the voices still whispering over his shoulders, hearing more distinctly the voice that told him to keep climbing, his unwavering will seeping out of him. He crawled up on enthusiastic arms, bellowing chest, thudding and whining hands. He kept on going even when he started bleeding; but he didn’t stop until he had stretched to the farthest distant point of the tower; until his hands spun on whirling vapor around the top of it. The instant he set his foot upon the peak of the tower, the tower disappeared, disappeared like nothing was ever there. He was once again standing on the ground, the wind dancing round him, cloud-like substance tugging at his ankles. And then the vision stole his breath, the earth of the world miles beneath him, b

  • The Luna's Rebirth (Awakening of the betrayed Omega)   Second Trial : The Tower of Voices

Dorian watched, his own heart constricting in compassion and pity. This is the test. This is the "sharing" that the Goddess meant when she had spoken of "sharing." There was nothing whatsoever to do with the food here, but rather with the sharing, the reaching out beyond self for others in need. He rolled around, he bellowed at them with his parched-throat, "Come here." "There is food," he croaked in that voice, so off into the alley. They retreated though, in sore eyes, an incredulous disgust born of endless disappointment. People had promised them food before; but it turned out to be empty promises born out of soul-racking disdain for their kind. "Lies" wheezed the old man, the rough rasping breath, the broken voice of one who had lost all his hopes many moons ago. "There is nothing for us." He repeated. Dorian’s head shook, solemn eyes imploring. "Come," he urged. "You will see." They ascended step by agonized step, their bodies weak from hunger. From the alleyway and into th

  • The Luna's Rebirth (Awakening of the betrayed Omega)   A Trial of the Moon Goddess

Dorian's boots scraped along the pearlescent surface at best, the ground looking infinitely smooth. He was walking on solid moonlight, as much as anything was. Some weightless ground that offered not even the slightest foot hold to him. He had never been too afraid to attempt a trial before, but this time was different. The Goddess stood before him, shifting forms, showing off eternity and intimidating magic. One minute she was a lovely woman that could be seen, her beauty desolate beneath the burden of centuries gone and her eyes blazing silver like the fury of the beast; the next she was a great presence, felt and not seen but nevertheless there. This eternal back-and-forth motion between the seen and the unseen was most likely the world’s secret, the union of heaven and the earth. Those eyes, those two fountains of luminous silver, captivated Dorian, but rather than make him feel at ease, he felt intimidated, a bit frightened even."You want the Moon Fang, and you’ve come all this
