Georgina Sinclair's POV:

Ryan curled up on the ground while still holding onto his side where Marius's kick had landed. He breathed raggedly and shallowly. The venom was still in his eyes although the pain was obvious in his body.

"You really have no shame in coming here, do you?" Marius sharply growled.

Before I could say anything, Marius's boot came down hard again and striking the same injured spot.

Ryan's scream tore through the courtyard. It was loud enough to make the omegas flinch behind me. The sound was sickening, but... Heavens, it was satisfying to hear.

My fists clenched at my sides as I watched him writhe. The rage from his earlier words still burning hot in my chest.

He had insulted me. Marius. Everything I had been through.

And for that, a small part of me wanted him to feel every ounce of pain I had endured under his so-called leadership and as his so-called mate.

"Pathetic." Marius angrily spat.
