“Why does he want to speak to her alone?”

“How would I know!” Xander mutters back. “I had to leave at the same time as you.”

“Well, he doesn’t like her.”

“He is the Alpha? Maybe he is concerned. If he believed Blue’s lie about where she comes from. He might think another Alpha will come after him.”

I stare at my brother. “Are you really that stupid?”

“Fuck off, Jaxon. You know as well as I do, father changes his mind about everything. He could be threatening her, he could be being nice to her. We won't know unless we are in the room.”

It’s a good twenty minutes before father comes out of Ava’s room. He looks directly at me, frowning. “You,” He points at me. “Come with me, now!”

I glance at Xander who shrugs his shoulders at me and mutters something about staying behind.

Following our father out the pack hospital. He stays silent. Any time I try to ask him something, he would give me a deathly stare.
