I felt like such an idiot as I stared at my suits, all neatly lined up on the rail. I had nothing else to wear and I was pretty certain Blue was going to make fun of me if I wore one of them.

I couldn’t wear a suit to a fast food chain. It was such a petty thing to be concerned about, but I had to win Blue’s interest. I could already see how she prefers Xander, yet, I couldn’t understand why. It wasn’t like he had anything to offer. He was a weakling in comparison.

“Xander!” I corner him as he comes up the stairs

“What?”

“Have you seen Ophelia? Has she left yet?”

“She is downstairs with father. Why, what are you up to?”

Even though he was my twin, sometimes I found it impossible to read him. He had an excellent poker face.

“I need her to pick me up a few things when she heads into town.”
