Blue

I had failed.

Trying to get them to reject me had been harder than anything else. I had given them every reason to get rid of me, but here they still were.

Staring at me expectantly with smiles, I wondered if they though I was happy? I hadn’t been happy since I was a kid.

“Alpha Cyrus really wants to give me a chance?” I mutter as they keep their eyes on me.

“That’s what he said.” Xander smiles at me

“Why?”

“You really have a hard time believing that we want to help you, don’t you?” Jaxon rumbles

“Because whenever someone wants help, there is always an ulterior motive.” Bree had been the only person that I had ever believed. She never had a hidden meaning behind anything, but everyone else, they were always after something.

Xander is quiet but Jaxon’s relaxed face tenses up. “Do you know how many girls would fall at my feet? They would jump at the chance to be in our arms. We are trying to help you. If I wanted to reject you, I would have done it already, Ava!”

damn! that is just wrong to do to little ones! her life could have been so different...no rape, no scars, no fear of shifting...so many things! this alpha is going to end up loving blue...blue has every right to hate him. love Xander! hope Jaxon learns some love and etiquette.
