Her mind was in turmoil with the thought of what Kael might do to her. Knowing the fiery spirit of her sister, she knew Lylah would undoubtedly provoke Kael, not knowing she was still alive.

She needed to escape. To leave this cold walls, that seems to suffocates her.

Every minute that passed by only heightened her urgecy.

Her thought, unbidden, wandered to the king. The cold beautiful devil who had taken her in his rut.

Arianna knew she was crazy to let this slipped through her mind, but she couldn't help it.

According to Dalia and Nadia, she had escaped death. She had escaped a brutality of her limps getting ripped apart by the king feral desire.

Yet, the night with him was abnormal. It stirred something different. Intoxicating. The way his skin felt under her touch, when she dared reached to explore his handsome face. His eyes...

Lylah stepped into the barracks, nervousness and excitement washing over her. With a small smile, she watched the warriors train hard under the sun. Their swords flashed against each other, meeting with sparks as the warriors' eyes burned with determination. There were barely any females among them—two, no, just three out of so many warriors!Females were mostly seen as breeders, wives meant to stay at home and care for their offspring. They were regarded as fragile, something to be protected. But Lylah didn’t dream of that life. She wanted to be on the battlefield, fighting to protect her people while her sister ruled.Just the thought of it bought a sense of tranquility to every fiber of her being. She glanced at the scroll in her hand—the one Lord Lucas had sent a maid to give her, instructing her to deliver it to the head warrior.Lylah approached the large, broody man standing with sharp eyes, watching the training warriors with a commanding presence. A dark scar ran from his for

Hearing every word from her sister, Arianna couldn’t help the rage that burned inside her.Kael had tried to kill Lylah. That bastard.Clenching her jaw, Arianna—now dressed in her usual slave attire—muttered, "This is all my fault. If I hadn’t trusted him and listened to you, you wouldn’t have been forced to venture into the Dark Forest, almost killed by rogues, and brought here.""You promised not to blame yourself, Aria," Lylah reminded her."That doesn’t change the fact that it’s my fault," Arianna said, pacing the room. "I was the one who listened to the elders, got fooled by my bastard ex-mate, risked your life, and put our pack into the wrong hands. You could have been killed several times because of my stupid mistakes."Lylah swiftly set her meal aside, crossed the distance between them, and hugged her."Can you stop blaming yourself?" Lylah tightened her hold.Arianna’s eyes teared up, her chest heaving as emotions swirled in them."What if something worse had happened to you

"Is it about the slave? The new slave the king now possesses?" he questioned as the woman choked beneath him, struggling to breathe.Oh, poor girl."I was worried about that before, but not anymore," Valkyrie replied, keeping her voice steady. "I've got everything sorted out. You just don't need to worry."Ever since the King's warning, she had confined herself to her room, refused to eat, and cried so much. Thanks to the makeup, her brother wouldn't be able to see the dark circle around her eyes."No need to worry? The king has never once taken a slave into his own possession, and you asked me not to worry?"Just as the woman beneath him thought she was going to pass out, Toran finally let go of her head, letting her breathe for just a moment, before shoving his rod back in, choking her hard."Fuck," he cursed, not just because of the pleasure, and Valkyrie knew that fact.Valkyrie quickly assured. "The king has finally decided to crown me as his own Luna at the upcoming Grand Festiv

Falcon placed his fist on his chest. "Yes, Your Grace."Rickon let out a soft whimper, biting his lips hard. Tears were literally running down his face.Duncan waved his hand, dismissing them. As they left, his gaze settled on Arianna, who seemed to be trying to hold in her laughter by pressing her lips together. His eyes lingered on her. She shouldn't look this beautiful—that was why he had thought Nyra had done too much dressing her up when he first saw her.Smooth, radiant golden skin, high cheekbones, a sharp nose, and full lips. Especially when she released them from the pressure of biting, wet and inviting. No wonder the Lords and nobles went crazy in the grand court at her trial. Now that he thought of it, his expression shifted to a cold one.'Those bloody fools!' Ash growled beneath the surface, and Duncan agreed.'Mine is beautiful,' Ash muttered, the voice vibrating in his head like a soft melody, but Duncan said nothing, only staring as he continued studying her.The gown

Meanwhile, she on the other hand fought with everything she had, nearly dying, yet the Beta never gave her a chance.Brigid's fists clenched as the healer tended to her wounds. She could hear the whispers around the room... the news was spreading like wildfire.Brigid had been unable to witness the fight because she had passed out after the strange little girl entered to challenge the Grand Lord. But when she heard what had happened, it only made her blood boil. The Grand Lord made the girl win."All done," the healer said, and Brigid immediately put on her clothes. "Madam Selene will get mad if she hears about this.""Where is the girl?" Brigid asked the healer, her hand clenching secretly as she stared into space."You mean the girl who sparred with the Grand Lord?"Brigid hummed in response."She's in that room," the healer pointed to the room across from them."How badly is she injured?""Just a broken rib. “I asked you not to do too much,” Duncan said to the maid, his cold predatory gaze never leaving Arianna for second. The maid bowed apologetically. “I only made a few touches, Your Grace. My lady is naturally beautiful.”Arianna's heart skipped a beat at the maid's words.Another moment of silence passed before Duncan ordered, “Leave us.”The maid left, shutting the door softly behind her, leaving only the two of them.Arianna finally snapped out of her trance. She bowed respectfully, steadying her voice.“Your Grace.” She straightened and cleared her throat. “With all due respect… may I ask why the sudden, uhm… treatment?”Without a word, he stepped forward, approaching her. Arianna quickly took a step back, not wanting to be overwhelmed by his dangerously presence. But he didn’t stop—and neither did she—until her back met the table. The way he stared at her made her skin stand, his gaze was like a predator who had just found its prey, ready to pounce and devour it.“Let me get strai

Palace."She is suffering from malnutrition. It's been a long time since this little lady here had a proper meal," the young healer explained, and Arianna glanced over at Lylah sleeping on the bed.She could tell the healer was right. Lylah had fainted in her arms after they had hugged and cried together, and she'd been sleeping for most of the day."The medicine will help her broken rib heal faster. You need not worry, what she needs most is rest.""Thank you. I'll come visit again," Arianna replied, and as the healer left, she ran her fingers through her sister's hair."I'm so glad you're okay and a little bit mad that you put your life in danger. Do you really think I'd be happy seeing you suffer like this?"Arianna bit her lip, watching the rise and fall of her sister's chest for a while before stepping out to head back to her work. The slaves, maids, and soldiers were extra busy today, as the Grand Festival was only a few days away. The Grand Festival at the Lunaris Citadel was a

Lylah stared at the different weapons set before her—swords, axes, spears, daggers of all kinds—all polished.Slowly, the weight of her decision sank into her chest, choking her.She glanced at the Grand Lord, who was giving orders to a warrior that stood listening with full attention.Lylah swallowed at the sight of Lucas’s built form, muscles rippling beneath his skin underneath his loose tunic. He was utterly terrifying—the second strongest Lycan in the realm. She recalled how he had struck the maid earlier, how the impact had thrown her across the space. The sickening bone cracking, The blood, the bruises, the swollen face…Was she going to survive this? Hell! She didn’t even have a wolf to heal her. And the male doesn't seem to care. How could he? She was the one who bought this up anyway.A sigh left her lips as she returned her gaze to the weapons. The warrior presenting them said nothing, only stared with a slight of pity.Clearing her throat, she reached for a dagger—sharp,
