I am not a witch

" You're becoming my personal slave!" Brayden yelled.

Harper bit back the cry which was trying to escape her lips as Brayden jerked her back and around with a naughty smirk playing on his lips.

He held her shoulder firmly making her wince in pain.

" Let me go." Harper said shooting dagger at Brayden, and his lips curled into a disgusting sneer.

" You can't run away from me" he whispered into her ear and squeezed her shoulder which he was holding painfully and she let out a painful moan.

Harper could feel fear crawling into her heart because she knew Brayden could go to any length to get what he wants.

Here he is Brayden Lucas her supposed mate and the future Alpha of Red blood pack. He hated her but she could see the lust in his eyes anytime he look at her.

She pulled out of his grip sharply, and moved about a meter away from him, though she could feel her heart running a marathon in her ribcage.

Brayden would never care for Harper beyond what pleasure he could seemingly get from her.

" That bastard" Harper muffled glaring at him.

" Why can't I run away from you?" she asked with a raised brow daring him.

" You dare not go against my order witch!" He snarled, his face flushed in anger and Harper's heart lurched at once.

Immediately a murmur went around the crowd as they all stare disgustingly at Harper who cared less.

Growing was like living in another world as she faced people who criticized her for not having any knowledge of her powers, and can't even get her claws out.

She has grown used to their hateful and hurtful words towards her. When she was growing and was called different names like 'witch' and so many others, she kept crying and sobbing and that stole her staccato breaths away. As she felt hot pain stab her side from their hurtful words, It pierced her soul like a dagger and she struggle up several inclines.

  " I am not a witch!"

Brayden shoulder trembled in anger as he was visibly furious. That was the expression he always had if she don't do  whatever he said.

He raised his hand to hit her, but they both knew it was an empty threat. Harper stared at him daring him to do it in front of the council of Red blood pack.

Harper might look like a witch to them but deep inside her she knew she wasn't, she was just cursed by the moon goddess.

The people threatened to burn her alive in other to protect their lives and that of their families, since they all think of her as a witch.

Harper's grandma cabin was located deep inside the woods, she knew none of the people are able to follow her into the woods let alone attacking her.

Harper turned around walking away. She heard different sarcastic comments from the people as their eyes followed behind her disgustingly.

" Come back her you witch, I promise to make you my personal slave, and if not for that useless witch called your grandma who begged us to spare your life --" the rest of the words got stucked in his throat when Harper rushed towards him and landed a deafening slap across his face. His face bloomed with slow forming bruise.

" Don't you ever in your miserable life call my grandma a witch, ever again!" Harper yelled and Brayden was stunned. Seemingly shaken by how furious she was, she took the opportunity to escape from him because no one stood in her way, maybe they were probably shocked from the slap that she gave to Brayden.

" I promise you one thing witch, you will surely die by my hands" Brayden yelled after he had recovered from the slap, but she never turned back and neither did she answer him.

Harper was really trembling inside of her as she scurried away from the crowd,  she kept her stance not changing her cold and adamant face.

She took the usual routine from the town to her grandma's cabin. Through the unmarked roads and muddy under bush, sliding steep slopes and rushing streams.

Harper hasn't passed the pack boundary when the tears which she's been keeping fell from her eyes. It took the last strength in her to be able to hold the tears till she leave the crowd.

Here she was, the most miserable and vulnerable 22 years old lady any one would ever think of. Her life never had  good memories, it's filled with pain and hurt.

Harper never had a single memory of her parent or what they look like since they both died while saving a stranger, and unfortunately during the healing process of the stranger, her mother's water broke and she was birthed. The only family she had was the woman who saved her life 22 years ago after the stranger was killed. It hasn't been up to a year that the woman she knew as her grandma died, yet it felt like yesterday to Harper.

Harpers parent were a family of wolves with the gift of healing and they were blessed by the moon goddess. The family had an heirloom that helps in bringing out the whole wolf in them, giving them the power of shape shifting from werewolves to human but Harper had none, although she never knew about the heirloom since she doesn't know who her parent was, except for the people who knew her parent.

Anytime Harper look into Brayden's eyes, she could see the urgency to fulfill his sexual desires with her, and that made her heart clenched with fear and her stomach churned.

Maybe Brayden did know where her grandma's cabin was and he was just waiting for the right time to come drag her and kill her as he promised some minutes ago.

That thought alone made her shivered in fear, as she began to sweat profusely.

Harper is not a witch, just a fragile 22 years old adult who doesn't even know how to defend herself let alone getting her claws out.
