In a few hours, we're packing a bag for the trip. My mother already sent a car to bring us in. I didn't expect to leave so soon but three days is in… well… three days.

It's so soon. I feel like I could blink and I'm seeing Ruby and Silver performing the mating ceremony or standing before the alter.

I walk to the Jeep and one of the guards open the door, bowing to me. Looking over my shoulders, I say, “ You'll follow behind us in your car. I want to ride alone.”

Before John can make a protest, I'm getting in and the door is being shut. I watch the heaviness sit on his brows, he grits his teeth and almost stomps his feet to his car. He doesn't even try to come close to the Jeep, the bodyguard wouldn't let him pass.

He'd have to understand that it's a different world we live in when I'm amongst my own Pack and family. My word is law, his words don't matter.

I'm counting on my father and whatever forces out there to help me handle the situation before I get back.
