Chapter 10: Frog And Cricket

I looked up to check the strength of the vines that I tied between three tree branches.

“Is it safe?” I shouted a little, which was clearly unnecessary because Luca could hear me even though if I was whispering it.

“I think so, Lilly Love.” He answered. His voice sounded quite far away because the place Adam chose for us was quite high.

When we decided to rest, I thought that we would rest near the fire by making a simple tent from the vines around us. However, Adam was against that idea and told us to make a place to rest on top of the tree, just among the high branches.

"Is it because of the dangerous plants? Those flowers can eat birds." I remember what I saw earlier today, I was so shocked that I think it already traumatized me.

Adam was showing me how to make woven from the thick and sturdy tendrils when he glanced at me and I could see him grin.

“Oh, those giant flowers? Well… They are the least creatures we fear in this forest. At night, some animals that we don't expe
