Chapter Forty Five

SCARLET’S POV

The way Carla had said it, made me feel somehow. I hadn’t thought too far on it, and even when Carla told me to be careful, I really didn’t want to be careful.

I wanted to be carefree for once, and believe that Brad was truly sorry and that he wanted to make it up to me. I wanted to feel that love for once, at least.

“Alright, ma’am. Did you have lunch?” I asked Carla to quickly change the topic.

“Well, I can’t really say that was lunch, but I really don’t mind if you want to sponsor my lunch.” Carla chuckled, and looked sideways, because she knew I didn’t mean for it to go that far.

I chuckled, and slammed my hand on my face,

“You really are something else, Carla. Alright, lunch is on me.” I yielded to her.

“Good. And it’s not just going to end with having lunch. We got to have fun after that, and there is every possibility that we’ll be coming back at night.” Carla squealed in excitement.
