Chapter Forty Two

SCARLET’S POV

TWO WEEKS LATER

It’s been two weeks, and I was finally back at school. I couldn't tell if it was going to be weird going back to school after everything happened. But I was sure it wouldn't be the same. I would feel more alone than I was before.

When I approached the school's entrance, my heart was racing. I felt this paralyzing fear inside me as I glanced around. "Welcome back to school, Scarlet." I murmured.

If it were before, I would have been more than excited to get to school, but looking at the school’s building, all I could remember was my 18th birthday.
