GIGI’S POV

As I alighted from his car, my eyes trailed over the place that steadily brought me pain.

The thought sank into my skull.

My fingers clutching tightly to the bag of new clothes, I held.

Getting to the doorstep, I found myself trembling.

Fright living rent free in my head, sending its signal through the whole of my body.

I’d rather step in now cause a bit of delay might aggravate my punishment.

“Good afternoon ma’am.” I greeted, bowing my head slightly.

“What’s good about the afternoon.” She responded. Hatred evident in her voice.

A smirk on her face, curving her lip upward in a slight manner.

I had no strength to stand in front of this woman, yet I couldn’t dare to leave without her permitting me to.
