Third Person
When Louis arrived at the basement, he immediately glared at Volstrige because of the disruption he had caused between him and Elaine.
“You should know the consequences of what you did,” the young man growled as he slowly took out one of his favorite pistols, the Beretta 92 that origined from Italy. Jacob had given it to him when he returned to the Philippines to celebrate his new business in alcoholic beverages.
Volstrige immediately hid behind Alex, but Brennon quickly pulled him out. “Boss, please shoot this womanizer. He almost got me into trouble because of him,” Brennon complained, laughing. Volstrige’s face was unreadable.
“Are you an idiot? I didn’t do anything wrong to you!” Volstrige yelled. The two started arguing, causing Louis to frown.
“Stop wasting my fucking time. I have things to do, lead the way,” Louis said authoritatively. Both of them lowered their heads and began leading Louis to where they had captured the spy.
Louis had been thinking about going home, not because he was sleepy, but because he wanted to lay next to Elaine to sleep.
“Damn. The things those guys are saying. The boss will definitely get angrier when he hears it,” Brennon whispered, as if gossiping with his friend.
Louis stayed silent until they reached a room in the basement where the spies were held. They had hidden them in the basement where the other hostages were locked up whom they hadn’t killed yet because they were still useful.
As they got into the elevator, the two continued whispering like fleas.
“Can you believe it? Boss is already having sex with his wife? I think they just met today, right?” Volstrige whispered.
Brennon raised an eyebrow at what he said. “Are you stupid? You’re the one having sex with women you just picked up from bars. If I were you, I’d keep my mouth shut. You might meet your father in heaven if you're not careful,” Brennon said, laughing, while Volstrige continued to laugh.
“I’m more scared of—” He stopped when he saw Louis pointing the gun at him.
“I’m more scared of you, boss, of course,” Volstrige said, scratching his head. Just then, the elevator door opened, revealing the men guarding that area.
“Where are the idiots?” Volstrige asked as their co-mafias walked slowly and stopped at the fifth cell.
It was not just one spy, but three.
“Who sent you to spy on us, huh?” Volstrige asked, sounding arrogant.
The three spies didn’t back down and responded, “Hotdog!”
“Well, you sons of bitches!” Volstrige shouted and pulled out his revolver. One of the spies just smiled at them, seemingly unafraid of what might happen to him.
“Revolver? Who’s scared of that? Low quality!” the spy said, testing Volstrige’s patience.
Volstrige immediately shot him on the thigh. The spy fell to the ground. “It’s a revolver, but you won’t have any legs when you leave here. That is, if you make it out,” Volstrige teased, laughing.
In truth, even if the spies wouldn’t admit it, they were already certain that Zap had sent them.
“You’re foolish. Even if you kill all three of us, you’ll never run out of spies in your organization. This person might even be in a high position,” said one of the spies who was so thin he looked like a walking corpse.
“Who are you talking about?” Brennon asked.
They were shocked when the spy suddenly collapsed on the floor. He was shot to the head.
“I think he was getting too noisy,” Alex, who had just arrived, said. The remaining two spies’ eyes widened at their now dead companion.
“Prepare yourself, Louis Montemayor, because your organization is about to fall!” one of the spies said while writhing in pain from the bullet in his thigh.
“You’re so noisy,” Louis calmly said and ended the man’s life.
Now, only one remained, so Louis immediately aimed his gun at him.
“Speak or die,” Louis said, striking fear into the last spy.
“Please . . . don’t kill me. I have a family I need to go back to. It wasn’t Zap who sent us, it was the Lombardis.” The spy trembled.
“Release him,” Louis ordered, shocking Volstrige.
“Boss, if we release him, he might just report us to Zap,” Volstrige said. Louis ignored him, so they were forced to release the man.
“Thank you, Mr. Montemayor. You are truly kind,” the man said. Louis only gave him a terrifying smile.
“Run as fast as you can,” Louis said, which confused his companions.
“In three,” the young man began counting. The spy hurriedly ran towards the elevator.
“Two.”
“One.” Louis shot the man in the left chest who had just entered the elevator. He died instantly.
He moved too slowly. What a waste. He didn’t make it in time to escape when Louis had given him a chance.
“Clean the mess. I'm going home,” Louis said.
They slowly moved the spy’s body out of the elevator so that Louis could ride it.
“Boss, I really thought you were going to let the spy go. You still have incredible skill with guns,” Volstrige complimented.
Louis just walked past him. “Don’t ever disturb me again, call Kaizer instead,” Louis said and Volstrige immediately nodded. His men bowed their heads as Louis walked toward the elevator.
When he finally got home, it was already 4 a.m.. He quickly went up to his room which was now his and Elaine’s. He saw her wearing an oversized shirt—something she surely had borrowed from Louis since she hadn’t brought any clothes with her.
She was sound asleep, so Louis didn’t wake her to tell her he was back. He gently lay beside her and held her chest under her shirt.
The girl's scent was truly addictive. Louis pressed his nose against her neck and began to inhale her scent.
Soon after, Louis fell into a deep sleep, his hands still inside Elaine’s T-shirt.
Louis woke up from a bad dream. The death of his favorite nanny still haunted him. Since then, no one had been able to replace her, no matter who his father hired.
He looked at the clock and realized he hadn't had enough sleep. It was only eight in the morning, but it still felt like nighttime in his room because of the window.
He looked at Elaine who was still sound asleep, and approached her to kiss her lips.
“Good morning, wife,” he softly said. Elaine still didn’t wake up, so Louis had an idea. He quickly went down to where she was, and she was only wearing panties.
Elaine stirred when she felt movement near her lower body.
“Uhm, Mr. Montemayor, what are you doing?” she asked. She felt him stop for a moment to answer her.
“I’m eating my breakfast,” he replied, causing Elaine to blush in embarrassment.
“I’m awake, can you stop now?” Elaine asked shyly. He didn’t stop until she felt herself nearing a climax.
“I’m c-coming,” Elaine stammered. She didn’t know where to look, and soon after, she arched her back as she felt something digging in her belly and felt the liquid spill, which Louis just licked. When Elaine realized it, she quickly covered her face out of embarrassment.
“Good morning, wife. Your juice is so sweet,” Louis said, and kissed her on the forehead. Elaine immediately glared at him, which confused Louis.
“Don’t you like it, wife?” Louis asked.
“I wish you had woken me up before doing that,” Elaine said. Louis just laughed, causing Elaine to raise an eyebrow.
“What’s so funny? Forget it!” Elaine said, pouting. Louis immediately lifted her in a bridal carry.
“The purpose of it is to wake you up. So why should I tell you first? And besides, you were sleeping like a log. It’s hard to wake you up,” Louis complained. Elaine didn’t respond because she was still too shy.
“Hey, wife. Are you still mad?” Louis asked. Elaine still didn’t speak, so Louis continued walking, holding her with both hands.
When they reached the kitchen, Louis gently placed her on the counter and put on an apron.
“What are you doing?” Elaine asked, noticing he seemed to have something planned.
“I’ll make our breakfast,” Louis said, grabbing the kitchen knife and cutting board, which were neatly placed near the stove.
Elaine was confused as to why there were two stoves in Louis’ mansion. Was cooking a hobby of his?
“Do you cook?” Elaine asked, curious. It seemed strange that someone as wealthy as him, and who was in a mafia organization, knew how to cook proper meals.
“Yeah. Someone taught me how to cook before,” Louis said. Elaine’s eyes widened. Who taught him how to cook?
“Who?” She was curious.
Louis didn’t answer because he was busy cooking. Elaine approached him to ask again, but since he didn’t respond, she went back to her seat and sighed.
“Wife, it’s not important. Stay in the chair, and I’ll cook for you,” Louis said, so Elaine stopped pestering him. He turned on the stove to start cooking.
“Do you want me to help you?” Elaine asked since she was used to cooking for her father. She suddenly wondered how her father was doing. Maybe he was really worried about her.
“No, just stay there and let me serve you,” Louis said, and Elaine nodded because she couldn’t refuse his smile.
After a few minutes, he was done cooking. He even arranged the food on the plate to make it look presentable.
“Wow, your cooking looks delicious. You’re quite talented,” Elaine said, her eyes sparkling from the way Louis had arranged the food.
On one plate, there was steak, strawberries, eggs, and waffles. While on another was garlic rice with tocino and bacon. Elaine didn’t know where to start tasting. Louis poured a glass of milk for her and black coffee for himself.
“Let’s eat.”
Elaine immediately stopped him. “Let’s pray first!”
Louis cleared his throat and nodded.
They began eating, and silence dawned on them, but Louis spoke first to break the silence. “Your dad will be coming here today,” he said, which made Elaine smile because she was finally going to see her father again.
“Thank you,” Elaine said, and Louis nodded. After a while, they finished eating, and Louis went to shower since he had work to do.
“Wife, call me when something happens. Goodbye.” Louis kissed her on the lips before leaving with his suitcase.
Elaine went to the living room to read a book. In the middle of reading, the doorbell interrupted her, so she quickly ran to check if it was her father. But when she opened the door, she was disappointed.
“Where’s Louis?” the woman asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
Who could this woman be?
ElaineThe days passed quickly, and we learned the news that Zap had escaped, so our security doubled as we searched for leads on who helped Zap escape and where my real father was.I let out a deep sigh before leaning my head against the chair. I thought the evilness of the Valencias was over, but we were back to square one."Everything will be fine, wife. As long as we are together, we can do anything. I’ll dispatch more people to look for leads," Louis said. He held my hand. I smiled."Thank you, hubby, for always being by my side. Even when I’m still looking for a part of my past identity, you're patient," I said and kissed him on the cheek. That evening, while I was working on paperwork that the wedding organizer gave me, Mace suddenly started crying.I quickly stood up and went to the nursery room, "Wah, Mama." I picked her up and saw Louis enter, holding Caliber in his arms.He asked, "What happened?""Hubby, can you grab the diapers? I think she’s crying because it's already fu
LouisI’ve always thought of myself as the man who knew everything. Someone who was calculated, cold, and efficient—that’s who I am. Or rather, who I was before Elaine. She wasn’t just a woman I was ordered to marry; she was the reason I started questioning everything about my carefully constructed world. It all started when I saw her for the first time walking with her friends down the street. I was in the backseat of my car, flipping through meaningless reports about the family’s business, when I caught sight of her. She wasn’t extraordinary by any conventional standard. She had oversized glasses perched on her nose, braces, and hair that seemed to have a life of its own. Yet, there was something about her laugh. It was carefree. It was pure.“Who’s that woman?” I blurted out, startling Brennon. His eyes flicked to the rearview mirror, confused. “I—I don’t know, sir. Should I find out?”I stayed quiet. My heart clenched for reasons I didn’t understand. Why did I care? She wasn’t the
ElaineThe breeze was cold today at the cemetery. The sun was high, but it didn’t hurt my skin because it was already late afternoon. It was quiet, but I still felt the heaviness in my heart as I walked the path to my father’s grave. Everything that happened was still fresh in my mind, and in the blink of an eye, all the evil deeds of the Valencias were over. But I knew that this wasn’t the end because there were still organizations that wanted to get their hands on the ledger, which I still couldn’t remember. In the end, Zap was imprisoned with multiple charges while Mariella was taken by Lucas to a psychiatrist because she almost lost her sanity with everything that happened.I read the inscription on the tombstone that said Raymond Natividad. I placed the bouquet of white roses down and lit a candle. He was such a good father to me, doing everything to protect me.“In a few months, I’ll be giving birth. I’ll make sure to bring them here so you can see them,” I said. My heart ached,
ElaineWhen I opened my eyes, I felt the pain from the restraints tied to my hands. They were tight and cold, as if purposely tightened to cause severe pain. I trembled as I looked around. It seemed like we were in a storage room, and aside from me, there were two others—Kaizer and Dad, both tied to chairs.“Ely . . . .” Kai’s voice was weak but filled with concern. “Are you okay?”I nodded, even though my heart contradicted the words. It was racing in fear and anxiety over what might happen to us.“Do you know where we are?” I asked, my voice cracking. He shook his head. “All I know is that we’ve been kidnapped by the Valencia Organization. I don’t know how they found us, but I’ll make sure we escape.”I was scared for the baby in my womb. It had nothing to do with this.“Everything will be fine, Ely, trust me,” Kaizer said. It seemed like he had a plan in mind.“Ugh,” Dad groaned as he slowly opened his eyes. When he saw Kaizer and me, his brows furrowed immediately. “What are you tw
ElaineLouis and I stayed in Florida for two more weeks. When Louis saw me that night, he always comforted me. We rarely went out again, and when we did, we always had a bodyguard with us. He didn’t ask me what happened, it seemed like he was waiting for me to tell him on my own.Today, Valerian will pick us up to take us back to the Philippines.“I want to stay here for a while,” I said while organizing the clothes and souvenirs we bought.“We will come back here again. This is one of our houses now, I just need to finish all my work,” Louis answered and pecked a kiss on my cheek. When we got in the car, Valerian smiled at me. “Looks like the newlyweds enjoyed their honeymoon that much. Aunt Hacel said to get both of you after three days, but someone wants to stay longer.”“Shut up, dickhead,” Louis said and I laughed. So, he was the one who planned for us to stay here for a month.“You really hurt my feelings with that greeting, man. A gift for your godchild?” Valerian asked. Louis t
ElaineIt had been a week, and Louis and I had fallen into a routine. We were like a real married couple. Every morning, he cooked for me, and we spent our days exploring different places. Almost every night, something would happen between us. Honestly, it all felt like a dream, and I never wanted to wake up.“Wife, are you still mad at me? I didn’t mean to be rough last night,” Louis asked while trying to feed me some rice.“No. I’m not mad,” I answered briefly.“Then why are you so quiet, hmm?” he asked again. The truth was, I wished we could just stay here because I was afraid that once we went back home, things between us would change again.“I’m just thinking,” I said. His face turned serious. “What is it? You can tell me.”I forced a small smile. It was better to keep what I saw to myself for now. He might think I was involved with Zap.“I’m just thinking about where we should go today. There are so many beautiful places here. I’ll take a quick shower so we can leave,” I said, ki
ElaineI woke up with the sunlight hitting my face. Louis was still not back. I slowly got up, my head still hurting a little, and my eyes were swollen. My fingers still had cuts from picking up the broken picture frame.I went to the kitchen and took the photo. I stared at it once more before crumpling it and putting it inside my pocket. Louis must not see this. I was sure that only Dad can answer all the questions I have about the true identity of this man.I opened the fridge, but it contained nothing except water. I sighed and took a shower so I could go out. I needed to find a grocery store.“Wife, where are you going?”My heart nearly jumped out of my chest when I saw Louis. His hair was messy, and he had deep circles under his eyes. His clothes had traces of blood, and there was a scratch on his forehead.“Are you okay?” I asked, touching the wound on his forehead.I quickly realized what I was doing. Why should I care? I shouldn’t, but my heart couldn’t help but worry. This dam
ElaineI was jolted awake when I heard a loud ringtone coming from Louis’ phone."Answer your call," I ordered.Louis declined the call and returned his gaze to me. "I'm sorry for waking you up."I rubbed my eyes to see his face more clearly since the room was dim. "It's okay, I was just startled. But why are you still awake?" I was about to get up to get a drink from the kitchen, but my eyes shut tightly when I felt a sharp pain in my lower body. The same thing happened to me after our first time. It felt like my body was being split in two.Noticing that I seemed to be in pain, Louis helped me up. "Are you okay, wife? Should I call a doctor?" he asked with concern, making me stare at him.Was he really concerned about me?I smiled in amusement, but Ashton’s words suddenly echoed in my mind.Louis was just using me. That was all. I shouldn’t fall for his actions anymore."I'm fine, it's just that my lower part is sore. Someone here was too rough," I hinted while pointing at my womanho
ElaineAs soon as I returned inside the venue, Venice approached me.“Good thing you’re finally here, bestie. Everyone is waiting for you so that you and Louis can receive Aunt Hacel’s gift,” she said. I couldn’t help but gulp due to nervousness. What was the Montemayor family up to this time?I quickly forced a smile when I saw Venice still looking at me. She had no idea about what was going on between Louis and me. I couldn’t blame her because I was sure Volstrige kept it a secret from her.“Sorry, I was late again. I just went to the restroom for a bit,” I explained and was about to step forward when Venice grabbed my arm, stopping me.“Wait a moment. I was really waiting for you here because I have something to give you. Also, are you spacing out? That’s not the way to the balcony. Is that the effect of alcohol?” She burst into laughter. When I realized she was right, I couldn’t help but close my eyes in embarrassment.“I wasn’t going there, duh!” I replied and was about to walk aw
