The Next Day, Early Morning

Chloe was dozing off in her bed when she flipped over.

Behind her, she sensed a dip in the mattress, like though someone had been sitting on it.

Without delay, she spun around and withdrew the dagger that she always kept beneath her pillow.

She brandished the dagger at the intruder in her room.

He raised his hands instantly, and it was Frank, she saw sitting on the bed.

"I assumed you were getting a good night's sleep." Frank remarked, "I see you are quite sensitive."

Pointing the blade at him, Chloe questioned, "How did you come in?"

Frank jokingly said, "Shouldn't your question be what I am doing here?"

Glaring at him, Chloe said, "Answer me, first."

"OK, all right." Frank replied, "I entered through that door; it's my house, and I have extra keys for all the doors in this house."

Chloe noticed the door opened.

Frank asked, "Now, will you put down that dagger?" as he pushed the blade halfway down.
