CASPIAN’S POV

Vincent left me speechless throughout the drive back home. He refused to look at me because he knew that I took interval glances at him.

Then we arrived home, and I quickly rushed into the house while he followed me behind.

I waited impatiently, but I was struggling to find the right words to say to Dario by the time he came down. I didn’t want to begin on a very bad note because I knew that Dario was not going to listen to me if that was to happen.

I heard Vincent descending the stairs, and I looked behind him, expecting to see my son.

“Where is Dario?” I asked, but Vincent didn’t look like he had the answer to that question.

“I knocked at his door, but he didn’t answer. I don’t think that he is in his room. I even called his name, and told him that you were waiting for him.”
