Chapter 23

Rose approached him and looked into his eyes؛

"He won't. We both know he'll listen to me because I'm the only one he's not afraid of."

He stared at her for a long time, then sighed.

"I'm going downstairs, you take responsibility for what happens next." And left.

I smiled slyly and opened the door. It was dark. There was no light except the moonlight that came in through one of the windows that lit up the sitting room.

Leo was sitting there, and she just stood there, looking at him like dead.

He was sitting in the dark with wine bottles everywhere and cigarettes littering the table.

His hair was messy and his shirt was unbuttoned.

He didn't even notice she was looking at him. It was heartbreaking to see him broken, so she smiled with a deadpan expression.

He raised his head and looked at her with blank eyes and dead features. They stared at each other for a long time, then spoke.
