As weeks passed by Scarlet still bore some sense of anger toward Leonardo because he hadn't defended her when Valeria called her a concubine but it didn't still stop her from interrogating Damien and giving solutions for the almost flagged account.

Yet she knew at some point she had to let go and forgive Leonardo. She needed him as much as he needed her. Scarlet’s next target had been on Cassius; she wanted to take revenge on him for the terrible treatment he gave her when she was at the clubhouse and as well find a way to save those girls who had suffered the same fate as her.

She would need Leonardo’s men to assist her but she had to conduct this plan without Leonardo finding out that she needed her own men who were answerable to only her. The type of men that could keep secrets even if they were tortured into spilling it.

Scarlet stepped out onto the balcony of the penthouse with these thoughts running through her mind.

That same morning, Scarlet arrived at the cartel headquarters. She summoned several council members to the conference room. “I want to make things right,” she began, standing at the head of the table. “I’m fixing a meeting with Milan Delay Torres—the original supplier of our coca leaves.” The members glanced at each other, some confused—not because they didn’t understand her words, but because they seemed to be treading carefully around her, as though trying not to provoke her. They paid close attention, yet acted like they were barely keeping up. Scarlet sighed and continued, “You remember the one supplier Valeria sabotaged? The one we already paid?” She made air quotes with her fingers. “We no longer need to Milian meet at Memoti. I’ll go see him directly, in his domain,” she added. “You,” she pointed at Alec, “you’ll make the call to Milan.” Alec fidgeted, caught off guard by being chosen so suddenly. “O-okay, ma’am,” he stammered. “It’s high time you all got your ass

Mateo Ortega was entangled with another woman, their lips locked in a slow, sultry kiss in his bedroom Within his estate. The master bedroom felt like a warm nest, bathed in soft natural light filtering through the leaves of a tree that shaded the window. The grand-size bed, centered against a dusty rose-colored wall with a black undertone, seemed to command a quiet, moody atmosphere, dim, still, and intimate. He lay on his back, his head resting on the pillow, eyes half-closed. The woman straddled him, pulling back from the kiss with a seductive smile as she ran her hands along his bare chest. His eyes fluttered slowly, his fingers grazing her back, guiding her closer with lazy hunger. Their mouths met again, a deeper kiss now, slower, more purposeful. It felt satisfying for Mateo—the air cooled his skin while her body coaxed him further into the heat of her. He pressed closer, the heat between them pulsing with a quiet urgency. He wasn’t fully hardened yet—just the faint stir of

  • The Mafia's Deadly Love Game   CHAPTER 31: FERRIS WHEEL OF ENEMIES

few days had passed since Scarlet encounter with Cassius. Scarlet had been confined indoors, giving out orders from the lake-side mansion to the cartel’s headquarters. Leonardo had been in and out, juggling the operations of his cartel’s facade—an oil company. Scarlet sat slumped in one of the dining chairs, still in her nightwear, her eyes dull as she absently toyed with the cold cutlery in front of her. “You’ve been moody for days now,” Yolanda, the housekeeper, said softly from across the room. “And you haven’t touched your breakfast.” Scarlet didn’t respond. Her fingers traced the edge of the knife as she stared at her untouched plate, her thoughts clearly elsewhere. “My life is a messed-up rotating Ferris wheel,” she muttered at last, her voice barely above a whisper. “It keeps spinning with every move I make, but it never seems to stop.” Yolanda stepped closer, her brows furrowed with concern. “Don’t be so hard on yourself,” she said gently, placing a comforting hand on

With her orgasm surging, he hit her deepest point, sending a shock of pleasure through her. She cried out, her voice trembling as he kept going. Moments later, he pulled out, groaning heavily as he released over her abdomen, the tension flooding out of him. They collapsed into a tangled embrace, sweat-slicked and breathless, holding on to each other like it was the only thing keeping them grounded that period. A moment passed. “I have to leave for a business meeting. I’m going to miss you so much,” Leonardo said. “I know, right.” Scarlet replied “Scarlet,” Leonardo whispered. “Yes?” “No matter what happens, don’t ever leave me… because I love you.” “Why would I leave you?” Scarlet asked. “I don’t know. But sometimes, I can feel it—like it’s coming. And I’m scared. I’ve given you so much freedom that I fear a time will come when you won’t need me anymore.” She turned to face him properly. “Do you know something I already know?” she asked, eyes narrowing slightly. “Is ther

No sooner had Scarlet ended the call after instructing her men than Leonardo walked into the room. Scarlet rose from her seat, a warm smile curving her lips just as Leonardo approached, mirroring her expression. They met in the middle, their mouths locking in a deep, passionate kiss that lingered for a while before gently breaking apart. “I heard what happened,” Leonardo began, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “Did you?” Scarlet teased, pouting her lips playfully as she looked up at him. “They say you were fierce… like a storm let loose,” he said with admiration. “Well, I guess I’m becoming more defensive. My training with Mugshot wasn’t a waste, after all,” she replied with a smirk, her voice carrying a hint of pride. They chuckled softly, their lips meeting again in another kiss, this one shorter but just as intimate. “You should be careful though,” Leonardo murmured between kisses. “Johnny Graph might go far for revenge.” “I already had him investigated. He th

The click rang loud as he cocked the gun, a sharp, deliberate sound—but it still wasn’t enough to make him pull the trigger. Not yet. But he was willing, oh so willing, if she dared to come any closer. “Don’t come any closer,” the man warned, his voice low and tense, eyes narrowing as his finger hovered in the trigger guard. “What’s your name again?” Scarlet asked confidently, her heels thudding softly against the tiled floor as she moved closer, fearless and unblinking. “Stay back and stop asking stupid questions,” he snapped, his grip on the weapon tightening as sweat broke across his brow. “I suppose you’re the great Johnny Graph,” she said, her tone laced with sarcasm, now only a few feet away. “You think you run this place? because you’re on the damn council, everyone should grovel at your feet? Let me break it to you, you're no bigger than an ant to me. And if I wanted, I’d squash you till you decay. I’m not scared of your trembling trigger finger.” “I'm warning you, B
