Vincent.

"You mad fucker! You can't get any information out of me!"

I smirked watching the man I held captive. He was tied to a chair, missing several limbs from the interrogation, but he still didn't budge.

I played with the gun in my hands, twirling it here and there.

"You're a stubborn one huh?" I stood up from my seat crossing over to the chair the captive was tied.

"I admire loyalty, it's the one thing I seek in all the people around me. So before I send you to hell, know that your loyalty has my infinite admiration."

The man's eyes quivered, blood dripping from the side of his face into his mouth. I could hear his teeth chattering from cold, he'd been dunked in ice, burned, lost several fingers but he still refused to budge.

I placed the tip of the gun to his forehead, chuckling at the stubbornness in his eyes before I lowered the gun to his chest at his heart, his eyes were still hard. I lowered it towards his stomach and he glared at me.

"I'll have you know that I love eyes that stare at me with hate. Do you know what hatred does to me?" I taunted, "It gives me power." I said in a sick tone that made the man curl.

I lowered the tip of the gun to the spot between his legs right at his manhood, his eyes went wide this time.

"How do you think it would feel to send a bullet into this little friend of yours down there? I heard the pain is gut wrenching. You'll suffer immensely but it won't kill you. Of course you won't have to worry about your reproductive ability anymore because you'll suffer pain beyond imagination, lose blood and go straight to Lucifer. Say hi to him when you get there huh."

My hand unhesitatingly made to press the trigger when he suddenly howled.

"No, don't!!!" He was trembling, staring at me like the lord of hell himself.

"Have something to say?" I queried.

Turns out a man wasn't afraid to lose his limbs, but the little friend below was a fatal one, it generates both pleasure and pain.

"I'll... I'll talk!"

With a satisfied grin I slapped his face softly, "Good dog. Now speak."

"Before I say anything I need your word first. If you swear that you won't kill me I'll tell you everything."

I cocked my head to the side.

"Such a simple request. Alright I agree, tell me everything I want to know."

"Donatello's right hand man will be bringing the item to a club tonight. They're meeting someone from the Russian mob. The club they'll be meeting at is an unsuspicious shingles club in uptown LA."

I'd gotten my information.

"You should have said this earlier before you lost half your body parts." I tutted, "Nevertheless, you've been very helpful."

"Boom!"

With his eyes wide in disbelief I shot the man in the head.

Rocco walked up to me bringing over a handkerchief to wipe the blood that splashed on my face.

"I thought you promised not to kill him."

"Promised?" I laughed, "I never make promises."

Leaving the rest of my men to clean up the mess I turned around to leave the torture chamber.

"Call Simon to ready the jet, we're flying to LA."

Hours later Rocco and I arrived at the bustling singles club.

"Vince, I just asked around. Donatello's man is a frequent guest of this club, they use this to perform transactions as it is the most unsuspecting place. The bouncer seems loyal, he looked at me suspiciously when I asked. Even after slipping him a hundred he won't say anything."

I hummed.

"Do you know what the man looks like?"

"Donatello's people are very secretive but we should stay low and watch, I think after the last encounter, I'll recognize him if I see him."

"Stay alert." I instructed and we walked up to a VIP booth at the higher floor in the club.

"Natalia called earlier, she wanted to know where you are." Rocco informed.

"And what did you tell her?"

"That she should stop stalking you."

Natalia was my ex girlfriend, broke up with her merely a few days ago and she was constantly on my tail.

It wasn't my fault I got sick of women easily. Natalia had been no different.

I watched every new arrival at the club keenly, waiting for my enemy's man to walk in but even after half an hour of watching, he still didn't show up.

Bored, my eyes lazily fell to the dance floor.

Women of different shapes and sizes swayed to music. But one stood out like a sore thumb.

With slight interest I kept my eyes on her.

She moved like no one was watching. Slightly goofy yet unbelievable alluring at the same time.

My interest grew and I watched her keenly.

Her body was captivating, nice rounded curves beautifully tucked into a short black dress. I enjoyed watching her sway on the dance floor.

She suddenly stopped as if feeling my gaze on her. I waited for her to turn and look up in my direction before I sent her a smug smirk.

Lovely brows furrowed in slight confusion as she cocked her head curiously.

Most girls who caught me staring would walk up to me to try to initiate a conversation.

I was fully confident in my looks to be able to pull any girl without making too much effort, but this one merely stared at me for a few seconds before she turned away seeming uncomfortable as if I were some creep.

"Unbelievable." I scoffed.

She whispered something to another girl dancing beside her then I saw her walk away from the dance floor however some guy stopped her half way.

The guy talked to her for a few minutes and I could tell he was hitting on her.

It appeared she rejected him and made to walk away but he was persistent, he followed her everywhere apparently trying to convince her before she relented going with him to the bar as her friends urged her on.

I didn't take my eyes off her.

Her appearance had certainly distracted me from my agenda here tonight.

The guy ordered a drink for her and I watched them conversing for sometime.

Something about the guy didn't seem right. He slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled something out when she was unaware.

With a knowing smile on my face I leaned towards the railing to watch closely.

I saw him slip a tiny white drug into her drink without the girl knowing.

"That fucker." I suddenly found myself standing up.

I wasn't one to intervene in situations that didn't concern me, but this one caught my interest.

The girl with sparkling blue eyes.

I definitely wouldn't watch this slide.

"Where are you going?" Rocco asked as I suddenly stood up.

"Stay here and watch for our target, I'm going to butt into something that doesn't concern me." I flashed him a grin and walked down the steps but before I could reach the bar, the girl had tipped the glass up downing the entire glass of wine.

That little idiot! Couldn't she tell the guy beside her must have bad intentions?

Leanne. "I know you need to know this, that's why I came here to show you myself."Claire sat across from me in the living room of my apartment, it felt so wonderful to see her again. There was so much I wanted to apologize to her for now that we're together physically, like not being there for her when she gave birth, through the times she needed a friend most. All those words of apology remained stuck in my throat when I looked through what she'd just handed me.It was a full record proving my step father had indeed been into crime, and he hadn't done it alone, my Mom had been a part of it as well. The discovery that my own parents had been lying to me all along was heart wrenching."Claire, it doesn't really matter anymore. I don't need to know all this anymore."Claire nodded in understanding."Regardless, I wanted you to know the truth. And there's one more thing."I looked away from the pile of papers to her face."If it helps...in any way, Rocco wasn't the one who pulled tha

18 Months Later.Rocco"Are you okay? Don't tell me you're still thinking about that girl." Vince sat next to me and I realized I'd spaced out again."What are you talking about?" I chuckled brushing away the topic he brought up.'That girl' he mentioned was someone I didn't want to talk about, not since she disappeared about a year ago, and not since I'd opened up to Vince about her on a drunken haze one night. "Look, it's alright to admit you can't forget about a girl, and it's definitely alright to admit that you're in love with her."That word made me wince, I still feel the sharp stab of the pain it caused in my heart the day I searched for her endlessly but couldn't find her. "Vincent Morano, love is for men like you who decide to open up to it. I've already told you, that love bullshit isn't for me."Vincent shook his head as if he couldn't believe what I'd just said."Then how can you explain your restlessness after that girl disappeared? It's all love Rocco."I rolled my ey

Leanne "Don't you dare try to come up with lies to my face." I spat angrily after what Erik just said made me feel like there was ice running through my veins. Rocco, killed our father? I could never believe that."You gullible little idiot! I knew you were stupid but not this stupid, it seems I overestimated how smart you could be. You're fucking the very man who murdered the man you once called Dad. You're disgusting."I couldn't control it anymore, I raised my hand and slapped him across the face and his head swung to the side."I've had enough of you. Get out!" I yelled pointing at the door. "Fucking bitch!" Erik roared and things happened too fast after that.Erik suddenly pulled a gun out of nowhere pointing it to my chest, I was rooted in my spot in shock when he pulled the trigger."Lea!" Rocco's voice echoed behind me and then the trigger went off.Two bullets were shot successively, one by Erik and the other by Rocco. By the time my shock had subsided I shivered realizing

Rocco"Hello old friend." Erik's face twisted in a wide grin, one that didn't reach his eyes."Erik." I muttered, suppressing the anger at the sight of him in Lea's apartment and pushed him aside striding inside and began looking around for Lea."Is that how to greet a friend you haven't met in years?"My brows furrowed in deep suspicion. "Where is she?" He didn't answer me, only maintained that blasted grin and folded his arms. "Where do you think she is?" He raised a brow tauntingly. I was striding over to him before I could control myself, grabbing him by the collar tightly."Don't fucking mess with me, I know what you're fucking up to and if you hurt a single hair on her head I swear...""Rocco?" Lea walked out of her bedroom staring at me with a confused look in her eyes."What's going on here?" She asked but instead of answering I hurried to her and began surveying her body for any signs of injuries, when I found none relief wafted into me. "I told you this would happen did

Leanne I woke up on something as hard as a rock, when I shifted the rock beneath me shifted as well and arms circled my waist, a soft kiss on the top of my head. I couldn't stop a warm smile from lifting my face. "Morning." A richly deep voice sounded above me, I raised my head to meet a handsome face with dark tousled hair and super dark eyes smiling down at me."Morning." I replied and he held me tighter. "Is this the part where I make you breakfast in bed? You'd have to excuse my awful cooking skills though, I should have taken some lessons from Vince." His words made me giggle but before I could reply his phone started ringing. He fished it out of the jacket pocket thrown to the floor and began to talk to someone in Italian, I moved to get off his body but he held me still shaking his head as an indication for me not to leave so I continued to lay on his chest. When the call was over he dropped the phone aside, silently staring at me as he played with a strand of my hair. "Wh

Leanne I'd been thinking about him a lot since I returned, it felt weird. I used to assume that coming back to my apartment would remind me of Carl, even though I'd been insisting on leaving, I dreaded actually coming back, but the moment I did, only Rocco remained on my mind.I did a lot to distract myself, like rearranging the settings of my apartment and changing things up. I'd finished cleaning up the apartment and everything looked perfect when my doorbell rang, I didn't expect to see the person who has been on my mind, and I certainly didn't expect the first thing he would do was to kiss me.I was stunned in place, shocked and enchanted by his sudden kiss. His mouth tangled with mine in a sensual dance, dominating in a ravenous way till I felt the familiar warmth of arousal trickle between my thighs. I quickly came back to my senses and pushed him away."I told you never to kiss me like that again!" I yelled heaving for breath, my blood still pounding in my ears. "Sorry." He s
