Chapter Twenty-Six Saying Goodbye

Standing in my flowing, black dress, with mascara running down my face, I say goodbye to the only person who ever truly understood me. My heart is aching; I'm supposed to be strong for Mama; Lord knows she needs me to be strong. Instead, I stand at the side of my Papas grave looking like a lost little girl, looking for her favorite teddy bear.
