The room was silent, save for the rhythmic beeping of the machines monitoring Aurora’s vitals. Damian sat beside her bed, his eyes fixed on her pale face. Luna stood quietly by the door, her hands clasped in front of her, watching with a mixture of hope and worry.

Suddenly, Aurora stirred. Her fingers twitched slightly, and her eyelids fluttered. Damian straightened up in his chair, his heart pounding.

“Aurora?” he said softly, leaning closer.

Her eyes slowly opened, the light of the room making her blink. She turned her head slightly, her gaze landing on Damian. There was a moment of silence as their eyes met.

“Damian,” she whispered, her voice weak but clear.

“Aurora!” Damian exclaimed, his voice filled with relief. He moved closer, his hand gently brushing her hair back.

Aurora tried to sit up, her body trembling from the effort. “Don’t,” Damian said quickly, placing his hands on her shoulders to hold her still. “You need to rest. Don’t push yourself.”

  • The Mafia's mistress (His temptation)     a conversation twenty years over due

Taylor stepped out of the hospital, the cool air brushing against his face as he pulled out his phone. His mind was still racing from his encounter with Damian, but there was another loose end he needed to address. After all these years, it was time.He scrolled through his contacts and dialed a number he hadn’t called in over two decades. As the line rang, he steadied himself. Finally, a voice picked up.“Hello?” came a hesitant voice. It was her. Aurora’s mother.Taylor paused for a moment, his throat tightening. Then he spoke, his voice deep and firm. “It’s me.”The other end went silent, and he could almost hear the confusion through the phone. “Who is this?” she asked cautiously.“It’s Taylor,” he said simply, his tone carrying the weight of years. “We need to talk.”There was a sharp intake of breath on her end. “Taylor?” she repeated, disbelief thick in her voice. “Taylor, as in Aurora’s father?”“Yes,” he replied, his tone clipped. “It’s me.”“What do you want?” she asked, her

Taylor stepped out of the room where his blood had been drawn, his movements calm and deliberate. The sight of him immediately sent a wave of anger through Damian, who was standing across the hall, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. The hatred in Damian's eyes was unmistakable, burning like a flame that refused to die.Taylor caught the look, but he didn’t flinch. Instead, he walked closer, his steps steady, his expression unreadable. When he stopped in front of Damian, he let out a long sigh. “You still hold onto that hate,” Taylor said, his voice even.Damian’s jaw clenched, his fists balling at his sides. “You think I shouldn’t?” he growled, his tone low but sharp. “You killed my sister. You destroyed my family.”Taylor raised an eyebrow, his face calm despite Damian’s obvious rage. “And yet,” he said slowly, “here we are. You’ve impregnated my daughter. Tortured her. Manipulated her. Doesn’t that pay for the wrongs I’ve done to your family?”Damian stepped closer, his should

The hospital was a whirlwind of chaos. Nurses and doctors rushed through the hallways, their voices urgent, their steps quick. Aurora was on a stretcher, her face pale and contorted with pain. Her hands gripped Damian’s tightly, her nails digging into his skin. He didn’t flinch, his eyes locked on her as panic coursed through his veins.“Breathe, Aurora,” Luna said from the other side, holding Aurora’s other hand. Her voice was steady, though her eyes shimmered with worry. “You’re strong. You can do this.”Aurora let out a pained groan, her breaths coming in short, shallow gasps. “It... it hurts,” she managed to say, her voice trembling.“I know,” Luna said softly, brushing a strand of hair from Aurora’s sweat-soaked forehead. “Just keep breathing. We’re here with you.”Damian walked alongside the stretcher, his grip on Aurora’s hand unrelenting. “You’ll be okay,” he said, his voice low but filled with determination. “You’re not alone in this.”The doors to the labor room swung open,

Aurora stirred awake in the middle of the night, her hand reaching out instinctively. The bed felt cold and empty, and her brows furrowed as she realized Damian wasn’t beside her. She sat up slowly, brushing her hair out of her face. The room was dim, the moonlight filtering through the curtains, but it offered no answers.“Where could he be?” she murmured to herself.Wrapping a shawl around her shoulders, Aurora swung her legs off the bed and stood, her steps quiet as she made her way out of the room. The house was silent, save for the faint ticking of a distant clock. As she moved through the hallways, her thoughts swirled. It wasn’t like Damian to leave her in the middle of the night. Was he working? Was something wrong? The questions made her heart race slightly.Aurora reached the study and noticed the door was slightly ajar. A faint light spilled out into the hallway, guiding her steps. She pushed the door open gently and paused when she saw him. Damian was slumped over his desk

Damian sat in the darkness of his study, his mind heavy with thoughts. The room was silent except for the faint ticking of the clock on the wall. His fingers drummed against the edge of the desk, his jaw clenched tightly as memories began to flood his mind.Taylor. The name had always been like poison to him, a name tied to pain and loss. Damian leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling as the weight of the past pressed down on him.The massacre. He could still see it clearly, even after all these years. He was just a boy then, no older than 12, when it happened. He closed his eyes, the images playing in his mind like a horrible movie. His sister, Clara, had been so full of life. She had a laugh that could light up the darkest room, and she was his protector, his guide. Clara was everything to him.And then she was gone.Damian’s fists clenched, his knuckles turning white as the memory of that night resurfaced. The screams. The blood. The lifeless body of his sister lying in

  • The Mafia's mistress (His temptation)    A Father's shadow

Damian stepped into the mansion, his footsteps heavy as he entered the quiet house. The drive home had been long, his thoughts consumed by the events of the burial. He felt drained but relieved to finally be home. Aurora had gone up to rest immediately, and the house felt still, as though it were holding its breath. He was about to remove his tie when his phone buzzed in his pocket. Damian frowned, pulling it out. The number was unknown. He hesitated for a moment before answering.“Hello,” he said, his tone sharp and guarded.“Mr. Wolfe,” a deep voice replied. It was calm, almost casual. “My condolences on your father’s passing.”Damian’s brows furrowed. “Who is this?” he demanded, his grip tightening on the phone.“You could say I’m someone connected to your world,” the voice continued, ignoring the question. “But more importantly, I’m connected to Aurora.”At the mention of her name, Damian’s jaw clenched. “What do you mean, connected to Aurora?” he asked, his voice lowering dangero
