Narrators POV;.....
Sonia wakes up and finds herself in Desmond's arms. She grunts lazily before realizing the sun is setting. He's been carrying her all day!
"Desmond? "Her little voice calls and the melody in her voice pulls Desmonds face back down in happiness.
"Did we make it? "She questions innocently as she honestly thought death was her portion.
"No. We died and we're currently in jungle heaven. "Desmond replies with his ever so strong sarcasm and Sonias pulls her lips into an annoyed pout.
"You can set me down now." She says as she feels Desmond ought to be tired after carrying her almost the whole day.
"I can but I won't. "Desmond replies without looking down at her and confusion hits Sonia.
"Why? "She questions. Her face reflecting the pure innocence of a confused child.
