Ryker’s POv

The bond was gone, but I could still feel her.

It was three in the morning, and I was standing at the window of my room, staring out at the darkness like it held answers I couldn't find. The estate was quiet. The staff had gone to bed hours ago. Even the guards had retreated to their posts, leaving me alone with the silence and the ache in my chest.

The ache that wouldn't go away.

I pressed my palm against the place where the bond had been

Olivia’s POV The door opened, and my father stood there looking like he had seen a ghost. His face was pale, his eyes wide and glassy. He looked past me toward the window, then back at my face. His hands were shaking."Lock the door," he whispered."What?"He stepped inside and closed the door behind him. "Lock it, Olivia. Now."I did what he said. My fingers fumbled with the lock, clumsy and cold. When I turned back, he was already moving toward the window, peering through the curtains."There are men outside," he said quietly. "They've been watching the house.""The figure I saw earlier."He nodded. "They're here for you."My blood turned to ice. "What do you mean? Why would they be here for me?"He didn't answer. He just turned to face me, and I saw the fear in his eyes. Real fear. The kind that made his voice tremble and his hands shake."Stay here," he said. "Lock t

The estate was quiet. The staff had gone to bed hours ago. Even the guards had retreated to their posts, leaving me alone with the silence and the ache in my chest. The ache that wouldn't go away.I pressed my palm against the place where the bond had been. It was still there. Not the bond itself. That was gone, severed clean in front of the entire pack. But something remained. A phantom. A ghost. A whisper of connection that refused to die.My wolf stirred. You feel it too.I didn't answer. He had barely spoken to me since the ceremony. When he did, his words were sharp and cold, meant to cut. She's scared, he said.I closed my eyes. "Don't."Don't what? Don't tell you the truth? You felt her

  • The Moon Goddess Must Have Made A Mistake   The Pull

Olivia’s POV The dream came again.I stood in a forest I had never seen before, surrounded by trees so tall they blocked out the sky. The air was thick with the scent of pine and something else. Something ancient. The ground beneath my feet was soft, covered in moss and fallen leaves, and in the distance, I could hear water running.A river.No. A waterfall.I walked toward the sound, my bare feet silent against the earth. The trees parted as I moved, their branches bending away from me like they were making room. Like they had been waiting. And then I saw it.A castle. It stood on a cliff above the trees, its stone walls pale in the moonlight. It was old, older than anything I had ever seen, and yet it looked alive somehow. Like it was breathing. Like it knew I was there. The silver mark on my wrist began to glow.I lifted my arm and watched as the light spread, twisting up my skin in pa

  • The Moon Goddess Must Have Made A Mistake   The Watcher

Cassian’s Pov The heir of Silverpine was alive, and she had no idea she was being hunted.I stood at the edge of the tree line with the cold pressing against my skin, watching the house where she slept. The lights were off now. The pack meeting had ended hours ago, and the wolves of Northridge had returned to their homes, carrying with them the memory of what they had witnessed. They thought they knew what had happened at the ceremony. They were wrong.I had seen the mark on her wrist when she left the hall. Faint. Flickering. Barely visible beneath the sleeve of her dress. But I had seen it.And it had taken everything in me not to fall to my knees right there in the trees.Twenty years.Twenty years of searching through shadows and silence, of following whispers that led nowhere, of waking up in the middle of the night wondering if I had failed. And then she had walked out of that hall with her head high

  • The Moon Goddess Must Have Made A Mistake   The Gathering Storm

Olivia’s POV The pack meeting was supposed to be about unity. Instead, it became my second public humiliation.I stood at the back of the hall with my shoulders pressed against the wall, trying to make myself as small as possible. It didn't work. It never did. No matter how hard I tried to disappear, their eyes found me anyway. The hall was crowded. Wolves from every corner of the Northridge Pack had gathered to hear the Alpha speak. I could feel them watching me, their gazes sliding over my skin like cold fingers. Some looked at me with pity. Others with disgust. A few with something worse. Satisfaction. They had all seen it.They had all watched Ryker Blackthorn reject me in front of the entire pack. And now they were waiting to see what I would do next. The Alpha's voice droned on, something about pack unity and moving forward after last night's events. I stopped listening after the first few minutes. The words

  • The Moon Goddess Must Have Made A Mistake   The Pendant

Olivia’s POVMy father was lying, and I was done pretending I couldn't see it.The journal sat heavy in my hands as I walked down the stairs. The house was too quiet, the kind of quiet that settles after a storm, when everyone is too tired to speak. I could hear Diana in the kitchen, the soft clink of dishes, the low murmur of a radio. Vanessa's door was closed. And somewhere in the silence, I knew my father was hiding.I found him in his study. The room smelled like old paper and dust, the air thick with years of secrets. He was standing by the window, his back to me, his hands clasped behind him. He didn't turn when I entered."I know you're there," he said.I didn't answer. I just closed the door and stood there, watching him.The journal felt like a weight in my hands. My mother's words. Her symbol. The mark on my wrist that still burned faintly, as though it knew I was about to press."You've been avoiding
