Never in my life have I ever been slapped. No, never in my life have I experienced any form of pain whatsoever but now my left cheek feels like it is burning up in flames but that's just not all. For about 10 seconds or so I lost coordination of my senses and my head vibrated as if a train was moving on it accompanied by an irritating buzz in my left ear as if a whole swarm of bees had made it their hive. I tried my best to focus; trying to regain my senses but when I stared at the cleaning lady she had multiplied into three persons.
What?! Is she a set of triplets or has she slapped me into insanity??
I don't know if it was the sound of the slap on my cheek or my shrieking scream that caused Hela to wake up from her seemingly deep sleep.
“What's going on?" She inquired but I was still too dazed and also embarrassed to speak.
How can I tell her I just got slapped by a cleaning lady because I made advances on her? That would no doubt ruin my reputation.
“This shameless man here was touching me inappropriately," I heard the cleaning lady say to Hela and I shouldn't help but feel ashamed.
Up till this point the cleaning lady was still appearing as three persons in my eyes and her face was all blurry in my vision and this was causing me some degree of anxiety.
I held my head with both hands trying to see if I could get it to start working properly but to no avail.
This low life monkey has damaged my brain for good with her deadly slap!
“What? And what did you do to him? Why is holding his head like that?" Hela inquired of her.
“I only gave him a slight slap. Don't mind him, he is just acting up," she responded, glaring at me.
What?! She called this sight slap? I am already seeing heaven's gate. The slap was nothing short of deadly!!
“What?! You slapped him? Do you know who he is? Do you have any idea of the gravity of what you have done? That's Liam Henderson! Donald Henderson's only son!" Hela said, obviously infuriated and the lady kept quiet for some seconds
I am sure she is starting to regret her actions and she would go down on her knees and apologize. Obviously I won't accept her apology. I would definitely make her pay for laying her hands on me.
“I..I do not know who he was but still that doesn't give him the right to behave inappropriately with me," the cleaning lady said rather stubbornly and I couldn't believe that despite knowing who I was she is still being this disrespectful.
At this point though my vision had started improving. At least I am now seeing two of her but her face was still blurry.
“You got quite the nerve, huh? You are just a cleaning lady. What makes you think Liam will want to have anything to do with you?.He is every girls’ dream man. Do you think he will be attracted to a cleaning lady? I am sure you made the whole thing up in your head. Didn't you?" Hela said in my defense.
“No, I am not lying. I wouldn't have any reason to hit him if he had not behaved inappropriately with me. You can't possibly know what happened. You were asleep," the cleaning lady said and finally my vision returned back to its normal state though the stinging pain of the slap hadn't worn off.
I could now see her properly. Honestly I could mistake her for a teenager as she has a small statue. How then does she hit like a fucking ogre??
“Now you are calling me a liar, huh? You are really crossing your boundaries, you low life girl!" Hela lashed out at her.
I don't know but I think Hela is taking this rather too personal as if she was the one that got slapped and it was kinda weird but since she was defending me against this little monster I was okay with it.
“That's not what I meant. I am just trying to tell you what happened," the cleaning lady said defensively but in a polite tone..
“So you are saying Liam touched you? That can't be, you ain't his type. I am sure you are the one that threw yourself at him. Yeah! You are the one that throw yourself at him and he obviously rejected you and out of spite you hit him and now you want to be claiming the victim," Hela said and honestly if that I was not the one that committed the act myself I would have believed her narration as she said it with a lot of conviction.
”No! That's not what happened. He was the one that was misbehaving with me," the cleaning lady defended herself, sounding a bit emotional then she turned to face me.
“Why are you just standing there saying nothing? Tell her what you did. Tell her that you were the one being inappropriate with me," she said, rather demanding. What?! Is she seriously ordering me around now? The nerve!
“I did no such thing. You are going crazy, imagining things in your head," I said, obviously lying.
Did she actually think I would support her against myself, especially when she had slapped me?? Hell no!
“What?! You are such a liar! Tell the truth you bad man," she said, evidently annoyed and I feared she would land one of those deadly slaps of hers on me again so I stylishly stepped away from her.
”I said it! You ain't Liam's type. He can't possibly stoop so low in wanting something to do with an ordinary cleaning lady like yourself," Hela said condescendingly and I could see the cleaning lady's expression briefly turn sad before..
“He isn't my type either. I don't want no pervert," she said, throwing a dig at me.
What?! This girl is really pushing her luck. How dare she call me a pervert?! I really want to give her a piece of my mind but I was also truly terrified about getting slapped again.
The first experience was traumatizing enough.
“Watch your mouth. You can't be talking to Liam like that. Who do you think you are?!" Hela lashed out at her on my behalf as she jumped down the bed and advanced towards us.
“I said what I said. Anyone that behaves in such a way to a lady is nothing but a pervert! A big one at that!" The cleaning lady insisted fearlessly, causing Hela to grit her teeth in anger.
“How dare you!" Hela suddenly landed a painful slap on the lady's face.
“Don't you ever say anything bad about Liam again!" She further stated, acting like a protective girlfriend.Wow! The slap gave me joy down to my stomach but before I could comment the cleaning lady repaid the favor back with a stinging slap of her own that sent Hela crashing down on the floor.
Christ! I wasn't the one that was hit but even I felt the effect of the slap. That would definitely sting even more than the one she gave me.
“Y..You slapped me?" Hela said with teary eyes, holding her cheek tight with both hands.
“I..I am sorry but you caused it. Why will you hit me when I haven't done anything," the cleaning lady said, breathing slightly heavily.
“You have no idea what you have done. You dare lay your filthy hand on me?! I will sue your entire generation! You and every single person you know will riot in jail!!" Hela screamed out frantically, almost as if she had gone insane.
At this point I had become somewhat like a spectator as both ladies went at each other with words but all that was going through my mind was what exactly is giving this cleaning lady the courage to be battling with two elite citizens? Doesn't she care about the repercussions? As of now though she doesn't know it but her whole life is ruined. I am going to make sure of that.
“I won't be intimidated by your threats. I did nothing wrong. I had no issue with you but you don't expect me to do nothing after hitting me," the cleaning lady continued defending herself with an annoying boldness.
“Did you just say you did nothing? You just assaulted two of your high paying clients after trespassing," Hela accused.
“I am not trespassing but doing my job and as for assaulting both of you? That was self defense," she said, causing Hela to scoff.
“You think you are smart right? Don't worry you will soon regret this day. I promise you," Hela said and she finally picked herself up from the floor.
Damn! Her left cheek was super red from the slap and a bit swollen. Hope that's not how my cheek looks like? Cause that is terrible.
“Clearly my service isn't needed here. I will be taking my leave now," the cleaning lady said then turned and started walking away..
“Don't let her leave!" Hela said and that kinda triggered me as I quickly grabbed hold of the cleaning lady by the arm.
”And where do you think you are going, huh?" I snared at her angrily and she appeared so light in my arm.
I can practically lift her up with one hand, easily.
“Let go of me!" She said raising her tiny hand up like she wanted to hit me and I found myself experiencing PTSD as my very life literally flashed before my eyes.
Quickly I let go of her arm. I don't think I can survive another hit from her.
“Fool!" She cursed.
I was helpless as I watched her leave the room. However I had already taken note of her name tag.
Amelia. That's her name. I won't forget!
“Why didn't you stop her, huh?" Hela asked, disappointedly.
“There is no need. She can't possibly run away. I promise you she will pay dearly for messing with me," I said, acting tough and composed though the real reason I let Amelia leave is because I was scared of her.
“I think there is something wrong with my eyes,” Hela suddenly said, looking traumatized.
“And what's that?” I asked.
”I am seeing four of you,” she revealed and I couldn't help but chuckle.
So it's not just me. This lady slap is no joke.
Something inside me snapped at his words. A spark of anger ignited, and I felt my focus sharpen. I took a deep breath, visualizing the ball flying through the air, landing with precision on the green. The next few shots were a blur, but I played with a newfound intensity, my senses heightened. The crowd cheered and chanted my name, but I tuned them out, focused solely on the game. And then, in a dramatic turn of events, I sunk a long putt, winning the game in a stunning upset. The crowd erupted in cheers, and I pumped my fist in triumph, feeling an overwhelming sense of satisfaction.Tristan grinned, clapping me on the back. "Well played, Liam. I didn't think you had it in you."I smiled, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. But as I turned to look for Amelia, I saw her smiling at me, her eyes shining with admiration. And in that moment, I knew that I had played for her, to prove myself worthy of her attention. But sadly I am not worthy of her love.I turned to face Tristan, m
Amelia's POV As Prince Tristan's luxurious car pulled up in my father's compound, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement mixed with nerves. Tristan stepped out of the car, looking every bit the charming prince in his casual yet stylish outfit. He flashed me a bright smile as he approached me, and I felt a flutter in my chest despite myself. My father, stepmom, and siblings watched us with suspicious eyes as Tristan hugged me and handed me a beautiful flower. "You look stunning, Amelia," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "This simple gown really brings out your beauty."I blushed and thanked him, feeling a little self-conscious under the scrutiny of my family. But as we drove away from the compound, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I was finally going to see Liam again, and I couldn't wait. When we arrived at the golf course, my heart skipped a beat as I caught sight of Liam standing on the green. He looked handsome and brooding, his eyes narrowing slightly as
Amelia's POV Felix's eyes widened in incredulity as he stared at me. "After all he did to you, the hurt he made you pass through, you went and fell in love with him. How is this possible?" he asked, his voice laced with a mix of shock, disappointment, and emotional pain.I shook my head, feeling a sense of helplessness. "I don't know. I don't know how I fell in love with him. It just happened," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.Felix's expression turned stern, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity. "Then you have to undo it. You have to fall out of love with him. You will only end up getting hurt. You've seen what he's capable of doing. He doesn't care for anyone else except himself," he warned, his words dripping with conviction.I felt a pang of doubt, but a spark of hope still lingered within me. "What if he's changed?" I asked, my voice tentative.Felix's eyes widened in alarm, and he looked at me like I had lost my mind. "Change? Don't be a fool, Amelia. Liam can n
Amelia's POV As I walked away from Liam's place, I couldn't shake off the feeling that lingered inside me. It was strange, because just yesterday, I thought I disliked him the most. But seeing him in that terrible state, with his wounds and his regretful eyes, had somehow changed everything. The way he spoke from his heart, with such sincerity and vulnerability, had touched me in a way I never thought possible. My heartbeat was dancing to a new tune, one that I had never felt before. I felt a pang of disappointment when I had to leave his side, but I knew I couldn't stay. He was my boss, after all, and he had given me the day off.As I walked, I realized I didn't want to go back home. I needed a distraction, something to take my mind off Liam and the confusing feelings that were swirling inside me. So, I decided to visit Felix at his home, to check up on him and see how he was doing. When I arrived, Felix welcomed me with a warm smile. "I wasn't sure if you'd come back here after...
I felt a surge of defensiveness, my voice rising in confusion. "What do you mean I'm the reason? Are you accusing me of being responsible for your condition?" I asked, my eyes narrowing slightly.Liam's expression softened, and he shook his head. "I'm not accusing you, Amelia. I'm thanking you," he said, his voice filled with sincerity.I was taken aback, my confusion deepening. "What are you talking about?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.Liam's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze intense. "You opened my eyes, Amelia. You made me see how selfish I've been, even to people who loved and cared for me. Or is this not what you meant when you said I should consider how other people feel?" he asked, his voice filled with a hint of vulnerability.I was left speechless, my mind reeling from Liam's words. I had never expected him to listen to me, let alone take my words to heart.Finding my voice, I spoke up, my tone gentle. "I never really expected you to listen to me. And I definitely
Amelia's POV "Poor soul," I whispered, feeling a deep sense of sympathy for Felix. I drew him closer to my body, trying to console him as he wept.Felix's body shook with sobs, and I held him tightly, trying to absorb some of his pain. "Well, you were bound to find out sooner or later," I said softly, trying to offer some comfort.Felix raised his head, his eyes red and puffy, and looked at me with a mixture of shock and hurt. "Wait, you knew about them?" he asked, his voice trembling.I felt a pang of guilt and nodded slowly. "Yes, I'm sorry."Felix's expression turned hurt, and he pulled away from me slightly. "Why didn't you tell me anything?" he asked, his voice laced with pain.I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of regret wash over me. "I'm sorry, Felix. I didn't know how to break it to you, and I didn't think you would believe me over your best friend and girlfriend. And to be honest, I was too scared to act. I was afraid of Liam's punishment."Felix looked at me, his eyes s
