Chapter five.

"Hey fatty!!"

The rough voice sent a cold shiver down Skylar's back.

It was Colton and Devin. Thankfully there was no sight of the leader Anointing.

"What do you want?" Skylar sighed tiredly.

From highschool, up till now. Do these idiots never get tired?

"Nothing....." Colton grinned. "It just that we heard your little prince charming broke your heart."

Devin pat on her shoulder, giving her a sympathetic smile which Skylar thought was to mock her. "You are allowed to come watch us play any time you feel sad. Football has a way of washing away some one's sorrow."

As if?

Despite her thoughts, Skylar nodded. "noted. I will keep that in mind."

Fortunately, it did the job as they Devin gave her one last look before they both walk away.

"Friends." Grayson popped a brow after they left, making Skylar's lips raise up towards the heaven in a scowl.

"No. Clowns." Skylar then purse her lips before asking. "If I were to join you.........in exercising.....will it really work?"

"Skylar. Rule no 1. You should never maintain a body you aren't fond of." Grayson poked at thin air. Gesturing as he spoke.

"It's easy for you to say." Skylar murmured.

"Then what if we make a bet?" He leaned into the table. His brown orbs glittering with mischief.

"A bet?" She blinked twice a little confused.

"Let's bet. There will be a change in your physique after a month." He said determined.

"That......"

"Afraid?" Grayson pushed with a smirk that seemed to kick on Skylar's nerve.

"Not afraid." She quickly shook her head. "I accept the bet."

"The loser owes a wish." Skylar felt a bit uncomfortable by his words. Quickly asking.

"What kin—d of wish?"

"Chilax. It would just be something nice and simple."

'nice and simple? Okay' Skylar nodded.

"We go out by 5.am. You should be up before that." Grayson drummed his finger on the table, then said after a few seconds. "You should eat. I doubt this would cause any difference to your weight.

"Is that an insult?"

'cause it did sounded like one.'

"What class do you have after this?" Grayson ignored her and decided to change the topic.

"None." Taking to his advice, Skylar munch on her delicious meal. "Why?"

"Doesn't matters." He waved. They both sank into silence until Skylar spoke up.

"About yesterday......" Breath in and say it. "Thank you."

Grayson was taken aback, but was also quick to recover. "Since I have already taken you as a friend. Then there is no longer any need for thank you between us."

He glanced at his watch then stood up. "I have a class now. See you tomorrow?"

Tomorrow?

"Okay." Skylar nodded and only after she was sure he had gotten out of sight did her smile drop.

Glaring harshly at her bag of food.

This is the reason she is so fat.

The reason Nathan left.

'Still it's no like I cannot not eat.'

Downing the rest of her meal, she exited the canteen with her bag slanging on her shoulder.

She felt her phone vibrate, reaching into her deep pocket for it.

Sunshine Ray: I am coming over.

Her eyes shone until it got to the size of a tennis ball. Immediately typing a reply.

Skylar: When?

Sunshine Ray: you will know.

Skylar's smile rose to a hundred as she pocketed her phone.

She couldn't wait to see him.

Finally she can see her little sunshine again.

How long has it been?

This was more than enough to give her a goodnight sleep.

★★★★★

Skylar woke up the next morning and barely had time to register why someone was knocking in her door at 5am in the morning, when Grayson dragged out to run.

At the end of a mile she started to feel like she might not live to see the day she lose weight.

Exercising was toture.

She barely made it through her first two classes. A circle of black line hidden behind her glasses.

"Skylar!!" She had hardly step out of class when she heard someone call on her. Her footsteps halted automatically as she turn around to meet dirty blond guy swaggering towards her direction.

Been the total weirdo she blanked out until he was right in front of her. Managing to ask pass the chaos in her head. "How many I help you?"

"Your note." He held out a small blue hardcover note which Skylar had been jotting on earlier.

"That—" Skylar felt surprised. She had thought she had packed it together with the rest. She felt grateful as she couldn't imagine what would had happened If the blondie guy hadn't helped her out. She probably wouldn't have seen it again.

"Thank you." She reached for it but the blondie retrieved his hand before she should take it.

"Can I borrow it?" He smiled widely.

"Borrow it?" Skylar was confused.

"I haven't been in class for a few days and my friends are all unreliable." He explained briefly.

Skylar still couldn't understand why he chose to borrow her note out of the dozens of students present in class, still she wasn't one to dwell on things. Muttering softly.

"I will need it back before the next class."

"On Thursday?" He nodded. "Noted."

Skylar shrugged then proceed to walk away when he said.

"You are really not going to ask for my name?" His eyes curved playfully. "What if you want to look for me?"

Skylar felt it made sense. Times like this made her realize how short her brain circuit is. "oh.... that..."

"Oliver." Oliver felt her smile was a little funny. Raising a brow. "The name is Oliver Brown."

"Oliver. Okay." Skylar nodded.

Thinking in her head. 'i need sleep.'

She didn't want to go to the canteen. After all she'd do everything to avoid those judgement eyes.

But as always, luck didn't seem on her side as she bumped on the people she least wanted to meet.

Why the three of them?

"Where have you been?"

'you still have the guts to ask?'

"Skylar?" Grayson voice had her throwing a glance back. Her drumming heart slowly calming down.
