Another Round of Word Battle

At night before retiring for bed Gabbi stares at her reflection on the mirror, she realize that they did have facial similarities she and  Danni, except for Danni's Blue piercing eyes and Greyish blond hair. Gabbi has a greyish eyes that contrasted her lighter shade of brown hair she inherited from her mother. She dyed it to darker shade to hide its natural color. That child she couldn't help but think of the child she lost, She may have been as old as that little girl who seems to be always reminding her of those days when she was a naive girl and confused acting on a whim.

The next day having been recovered from the heated discussion all the member of the judges and the staff resume their work. No one knows that from that simple exchange the seed of a scandal is brewing right at this minute it is being multiplied by the minute since they are focus on the job at hand no one check on their social media accounts.

By the time the Thirty-six finalist was chosen. Gabbi and Jennifer was up against each other in anothher word battle with their opposing opinion it open up another round in exchanging remarks not related to the job at hand.

"Why are you making this difficult Jen? you chose her to be included why are you dropping her." Gabbi said in exasperation. She suspect that Jen wants to get all best contestant under her. Which Gabbi foresee to be a bigger problem for them.

"Why?  can't change my mind? "

"Of course you can change your mind Honey..." Josh started to pacify the situation.

"Don't you honey me you ..." she cut him off.

"You have to take responsibility to your actions Jen. If you choose them you have to stand for that, not that you want to monopolize everything on your behalf." Gabbi said forcefully.

" Easy for you to say Miss high and mighty Gabriella!  You have everything handed to you without lifting a hand to fight for it."

"What are you? saying that's not true!" At this moment Georgie who was busy in categorizing each contestant, raise her head and wondered what are they talking about?  It seems they are in each other throat for some unfinished personal issues. she was on comedy side of the bussiness and a newcomer she is not so aquainted with what's going on the music scene. and have no ersonal knowledge of the history of this two.

"Hey this become a regular scene with you two. What is your problem! I'm fed up of your unending battle. You're disrupting the task at hand..."

"Shut up Josh!!!"  They both retalliated. " Everything has started with you!" Jen continued.

"With me? Huh are you forgetting you planned it all to break us up! You and your malicious way. I'm so tired of this." He raised himself from the chair and walked out of the door.

The moderator and manager who has been so surprised with the sudden outburst found his voice. "Ok, since we can not stall this work anymore because we are running out of time. I forbid you to speak to one another in this room until you settle your differences. I  don't want a circus in my show  or I will cancel the show until you can be civil to one another. Leave! and I say it again, leave your differences outside this door. or you will both face a lawsuit for breaking the terms of the contract"

"Yes, Boss!" with head bowed they both answered embarrash for acting like children.

"Both of you in my office." and addressing the staff in the room, " If Josh is around send him in. I want to settle this with this four in person."

" He already left boss, probably gone home."  One of the staff answered.

Then contact him to see me at once." and he went to his office expecting the rest to follow him. Unknowingly that the scene earlier has been leaked out by one of the staff who has a contact to a gossip collumnist and the story is circulating very fast just like a very contagious virus. Jennifer and Gabrielle topic is trending on social media. 

Minutes later Gabbi and Jen was sitting on opposite couch in the manager's officce waiting for Josh to appear. They both ignore each other, deep in their own thoughts. Gabbi was thinking that she should have not give in to Jen's taunting. She was over it a long time ago. In fact she was not devastated when the relationship with Josh ended when she caught them on the act. What she can not accept is for Jen to keep on opening old wounds about her relationship with Dane  and the state of her health before, when  she went into depression after she gave birth to her baby who died later. This was the scandal that force her to end her carreer in singing. She regretted that she treated this woman as a sister that later on destroyed her refutation and credibility because of jealousy. she always thought that her secret is safe with her friends. Eventhough she never reveal to her anything about her past, but Jen maliciously unearth this secret to be her ace to descredit Gabbi. She was jelous of her career ,her boyfreind and the fact that she have something to fall back if she won't succeed in her carreer. she also envy the support Gabbi received from her family namely her father, brother and his wife May who was Gabbi's psychologist who help her a lot in coming into terms with her problems regarding her health issues.

There was silence in the room except for the hustling of papers their manager is reading and signing while waiting for Josh to appear. Jen was also deep in her thoughts probably trying to think of ways or schemes to get out of this mess with less damage or betterstill have other to take blame for this. All she wanted was to get Gabbi out of her way she hated this woman so much because she faded in the shadow if she's around.
