Chapter 92

When we got back to King Mateo’s castle, we ate a late dinner, and sat outside in lounge chairs by the water and just enjoyed each other’s company. We had been talking and laughing until I heard a hiss, and a ball was thrown into my lap. I laughed as King Mateo shook his head, “Chloe, you have spoiled him beyond belief.” I laughed at Hugo, “You aren’t spoiled, are you, Hugo? You just love me.” Hugo nodded his head and made a hissing sound that sounded like a laugh. Everyone laughed at what he did. Queen Judia laughed, “Chloe, you make him do things that I have never seen him do.” I laughed, “That’s nothing. Watch this.” Then I looked at Hugo, “Can I hug you, Hugo?” He nodded his head and I levitated him to my eye level. I was petting his face, and said, “I need a hug. Is that okay?” He nodded and I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him. Aidinth chuckled, “I never thought I would be jealous of an alligator.”
