I was quite excited when Draven announced that there would be a barbecue for the entire pack, pups included. The warriors in training would graduate that day, and the new recruits would also be chosen in front of everyone. I missed fresh deer meat and was looking forward to having as much as my stomach would let me. The thought had me salivating and yearning for some at that moment.

"What has got you so restless?" I was at Draven's office, waiting for him to wrap up his paperwork before we stepped out for the barbecue. I didn't realize I was tapping my foot on the floor until he talked to me.

"Deer meat." I answered straight to the point, swallowing hard.

He laughed, then stopped abruptly when I scowled. "Why did you stop laughing? You seem to be enjoying my frustrations." I huffed, then curved my mouth downward, wanting nothing but to leave his office.
