"Chloe!" I yelled as she mounted the huge dragon's back.

I wanted to stop her but everytime I got near her, the dragon growled as if I was an enemy.

For fuck's sake I was her fated mate.

"This is not funny, Chloe. Talon and Kael asked me to keep you safe. You cannot—" I started but Chloe wasn't listening.

"Go and get help. Free the others!" She yelled loudly as the dragon started to flap its wings. "I can handle Nara. Don't worry."

Like hell she will.

Once she and the dragon were out of sight, the quietness of the hallway was all that remained. Because somehow she could sire dragons too, Chloe was playing the hero.

Footsteps echoed near me. Violet's scent hit and i moved towards her. Walking through the hallway, I saw her limping out from behind the rubble, her arm smeared with blood and her face pale.

“Violet,” I called, rushing to her. “Are you okay? What's wrong with you? Where are the others?”
