Looking at her daughter, Daisy thought of something important, “What about the wedding? Are you not having one?”

“The doctor said the first trimesters are the most crucial. So, to prevent anything from happening to the baby, we’ve decided to have it after he’s born.”

Feeling bold, Summer pulled Daisy into a big hug and snuggled, “Mom, don’t be mad at me anymore, okay?”

Daisy held and patted her daughter’s hand, “My daughter’s all grown up now,” she sighed, “I took care of you ever since you were a small baby, and you’ve always told me everything. Getting married is one of the most important events in one’s life and you hid it from me! Don’t I deserve to be angry?”

“Yes, mom, of course you do. Why don’t you give me a few smacks as punishment to cheer up?”

Just as she did when she was a child, she giggled and turned around. With her back facing her mom, she arched up her lower back.
