Daisy rounded her eyes and aimed at her youngest daughter. What the beautiful daughter had just said was unexpected.

“Jo, be polite please!” she whispered closer to Jo.

“Why should I be polite to him, he’s nothing for me,” Josephine expressed her protest, put her arms across her chest.

“Behave Jo, I’m embarrassed of my friends!” Daisy begged.

Unfortunately, this white woman didn’t care at all. She replied to her mother with a sarcastic sentence instead.

“Sorry, Mom, but I don’t like his insolent eyes to me. I am a married woman, I should take care of the honor of my marriage.”
