            As soon as Bill insisted that they take a walk alone, Christopher knew he didn’t buy anything he and Selena had said in the den.

            Christopher and Bill donned their coats as they strolled the garden trail of the estate. Christopher didn’t know what was going to happen next, but he was going to own the Bethel property even if he had to send this old man to hell to get it.

            “Elle and I met and got married late in life,” Bill began. “That’s why we got a daughter who is still in college at the age we are at. You see, we were both willing to wait until the right person came along. Why don’t you let Selena wait? Why ruin her view on what marriage should be over a piece of property?”
