I entered the dark room that was Alpha Luca’s office and for a second, my eyes had to adjust to the darkness. I'd never understood why Luca made his office into this kind of dark place with not even the tiniest light streaking in. The curtains were always drawn and the only source of light was a tiny flash bulb that wasn't even bright enough for you to see the face of the person next to you.

The devil really thrives in the darkest places.

I never complained, never even asked questions from Luca. I was too grateful to him to point out anything odd about his behavior.

My eyes adjusted to the darkness and I immediately made out Luca’s body behind his desk, he was sitting there, back against the backrest of the chair and a glass of whiskey in his hands. He was tossing the glass in his hands and my eyes had gotten so used to the darkest that I was able to see the smirk that tugged at the corners of his lips when his eyes fell on me.

“You’re here,” he muttered casually as he took another sip of his drink and I took my position in front of the desk.

There were no other chairs in Alpha Luca’s office except for his because when you talk to him, you have to stand. There was no other person in the whole of Silvercrest that could sit and address Luca. You have to stand before him.

Well, except for one person and no one dares mention his name in front of Alpha Luca.

“Yeah, I came as soon as I got the message.”

And that wasn't a lie. I'd leave everything I was doing if Luca should call for me, just like I left everything I was doing the minute his guard came to tell me he was looking for me.

And I knew the reason why he was calling me. There must be another man that I need to get rid of, not get rid of like wipe off the surface of the earth. I couldn't even kill anyone in SilverCrest. I was an omega, my wolf was so weak it was only going to take a snap of a Beta’s fingers to put an end to my life.

I was one of the cursed wolves in Silvercrest because omegas were a rare breed and the few of us in Silvercrest were always bullied and looked down upon. I was abandoned by my parents at birth because to give birth to an omega was considered an abomination. I was lucky to be taken in by an orphanage but it was a hell-hole in there until I was removed from the orphanage by Luca’s parents when I was 10 and they were raised in their house.

I was just grateful to belong somewhere, to have a roof over my head until I became a teenager and I started to reach puberty and I realized that I was different from other girls.

I was pretty, prettier than girls that were raised to become future Lunas and my body was starkly different from most girls. I didn't know my body was my most powerful tool until the guards in the house started looking at me longer than usual until I could get them to do anything I wanted by just smiling at them until I could bring them to their knees by wearing a shorter gown or by exposing a part of my body that should be covered up.

But the real power came when Luca started paying attention to me. He was only older than me by 5 years but he acted like he was 20 years older than me with how he had taken over nearly all the affairs of the pack from his ailing parents and at the age of 19, he was already growing the Moon Shadow Pack into one of the most powerful packs in Silvercrest.

It was obvious Luca wanted power, craved power, and sought to be the most feared man in Silvercrest and he was going to do anything to make sure he achieve that.

Luca’s parents passed on when he was 20 and I was 15 and he became the Alpha of the Moon Shadow Pack. I was 15 then but I already knew the kind of enormous power my body has. I only needed to stroke the cock of a guard to get him to walk through fire for me and I honestly thought getting a guard to do what I wanted was power until Luca proved me wrong.

He called me to his room one day and the rest was history. I could do and undo, break and unbreak, bend and unbend with just my body and suddenly, guards were lowly beings that I couldn’t even look at, not to talk of doing anything sexual with them.

By the time I was 17, I was a pro, and even Luca that taught me everything I needed to know about seducing men couldn’t handle my games again by 18, I became the much-needed sexual weapon that Luca uses to bring all his enemies to their knees.

I never complained, in fact, I thrived in the attention of being that important and indispensable to Luca. He needed me because I was the only one who could bring his enemies down, who could seduce them with my otherworldly beauty and body, who could bring them to their knees and seduce their greatest weakness and secrets out of their mouths.

Because men, even the strongest wolves were such fickle things that were controlled by their third leg and became reduced to senseless creatures once you have your mouth wrapped around their cock or their face buried in your core.

That has always been my mission, seduce a wolf that was posing a threat to Luca’s sovereignty in Silvercrest, dig their greatest weakness out of them, and tell Luca who uses them to his greatest advantage by blackmailing them so they don’t have an option but to declare their support and loyalty to him and in extreme cases, the weakness I feed back to Luca served in wiping his enemies out of the face of the earth.

I didn’t care about what I was doing, I just wanted to make myself relevant and important, and indispensable.

And by acing all my missions, I was making Luca get the power he so much craved, the power he so much needed. He was becoming more and more powerful by the day, he was getting shrouded in more intense darkness with the power he was getting but all that was none of my business.

I just wanted to continue being useful.

“There’s a new mission for you,” he continued, still sitting on the chair and the drink still swirling in his hands.

Of course, I knew that. Whenever he calls me into his office, I knew it was to tell me that I have a new mission.

“Of course,” I replied, “I’m ready.”

The dark smirk tugged his lips more upward, “do you even have an option?”

It was a rhetorical question, one that I allowed hanging in the air without bothering myself with a reply.

“This mission is slightly different from what you’re used to,” he continued and he dropped the glass cup on the desk, “this mission is going to involve you spending a month or two with the alpha you’ll be working on.”

My mouth dropped open and I had to force myself to close it again.

A month or two!?

My missions usually involve a night or two at most, that was all it takes to reduce a wolf to nothingness with my expertise and body, to get a secret out of them but two months? A chill broke out of my body at the impending doom of what the mission might be.

“A month or two?” I echoed dumbly.

“Yeah,” he replied casually before pushing himself off the chair and he started stalking me casually with the gait of a predator walking towards a caged prey.

He stopped in front of me and he reached for a spot on the desk. I blinked and the whole room was suddenly plunged into brightness.

He just turned on the bulb for the first time since I started coming in here and now, it took my eyes forever to adjust to the sudden brightness and when it did, the first thing I was able to make out was Luca’s facial feature.

He was standing so close to me, that infamous devilish smirk on his face with his eyes shrouded in so much darkness that if you stare at it too much, you’re bound to get wrapped in the darkness with no means of getting out.

Luca didn’t look anything like the 15 years old boy that I met when I was first brought into The Shadow’s Mansion. He was grown now, age had filled in his face and he had grown into a fine specimen of alpha with his body exuding so much power and hotness.

A fire lighted itself in my lower abdomen as I felt a wave of desire as strong as a tsunami. I was still badly attracted to Luca and he was the only one who has ever made me feel a wave of desire that strong.

“Yeah,” he drawled his reply with his eyes locked on mine, “we’re dealing with the devil himself here, there’s no way even you…” he allowed his eyes to rake over my body slowly to buttress his point, “there’s no way you’d bring him to his knees in even a week.”

I wanted to tell him to give me some credit and respect for all the strong alphas and betas I’ve brought to their knees but something made the words get stuck in my throat.

We’re dealing with the devil himself?

Apprehension washed over me at the thought of what he could possibly mean by that. There was only one wolf that Luca would refer to as the devil and that was…

“Who?” I forced the word out, fear coating every alphabet.

His fear deepened, making him look more sinister than he looked earlier and his eyes remained locked on my face as if he wanted to see all flickers of emotions that’ll cross my face once he mentions the name.

Bastard! That was why he turned on the light.

“Fleki,” he announced and plunged my world into the deepest abyss.

“Alpha Fleki,” he mussed, hate simmering in his tone, “or should I call him The Rogue?”
