Chapter 6

Author: Wild Peter
Miron was never a werewolf of pure intentions. His so-called "support" for Caesar was nothing more than a way to control him.

The moment he made me hide our financial dealings, I knew he didn't trust me.

If my act of devotion ever touched Caesar, Miron could easily expose me, tell him I was only in it for the money. And if my act failed to move him, then Caesar would have passed the test—proving himself a qualified Alpha with no weakness to exploit.

As for Celine… there was no way Miron would allow Caesar to be so consumed by an Omega. She was likely his backup plan.

But all that was just speculation. And besides, Caesar's heart had long belonged to Celine. None of it had anything to do with me anymore.

"Miss Rena, Mr. Tand is here again," one of the maids whispered with a teasing smile. Her tone made that "again" sound deliberate, her look full of quiet amusement.

I sighed. "Let him in."

"My dearest Rena! I brought you your favorite—"

He came in with an armful of bags, his att

  • The Runaway Luna   Chapter 10

Caesar's Side StoryCaesar fell ill the day the fire burned the villa to the ground. There had been a pain in his chest ever since. The flames had reduced everything to ash, leaving nothing behind. Not even Rena's bones. Nothing at all.He remembered how much she had loved that villa. So he poured every ounce of the pack's power and wealth into rebuilding it, stone by stone, as if resurrecting it could bring her back. The idea met fierce resistance—from his uncle Miron, from the elders, even from Celine."Caesar," Celine said, her voice trembling with grief, "you promised me. You said we would mark me. Are you going back on your word now?"A fragile Omega, pleading for the Alpha's affection—most werewolves would have softened. But her words cut straight through him.He tore his arm from her grasp, his voice cold as steel. "No. My Luna is Rena—and only Rena."Celine's sorrow twisted into rage. "She's dead! Why are you still pretending to be so devoted? You think rebuilding that

  • The Runaway Luna   Chapter 9

Everything had been a lie.I opened my mouth, tried to force out a single word—never—but it caught in my throat again and again. I couldn't do it. I couldn't lie to myself."At first," I said, "I was happy. Miron took me in and told me that my mate would be the next Alpha."Back then, Caesar had been handsome and commanding, yet polite and refined. I could never tell if it was our mate bond or something else, but my eyes always sought him out.He treated me well—patiently teaching me etiquette I was too clumsy to grasp, smiling as he held me close during gatherings, introducing me proudly to every guest.Every Omega in the pack envied me. I was destined to have the most striking, powerful mate of them all.I looked at Caesar now, seeing the reflection of my younger self in his eyes. "I was so happy to be your Luna. For you, I threw myself into endless practice—learning manners, cooking, anything—just to hear someone say I was worthy of you.""My hands and feet blistered from e

Tand's face darkened. "Who gave you permission to interrupt me? Get out and take your punishment!"The air shifted. Even without raising his voice, authority rolled off him in waves—pure Alpha dominance.I curved my lips into a small, knowing smile. Tand was doing it on purpose. Showing off his power right in front of Caesar."Rena," Tand said softly, warmth replacing the steel in his tone. He leaned forward, brushing his lips across the back of my hand. "I'll wait for you outside."I didn't refuse. I just patted his shoulder lightly.By the time I turned, Caesar was already standing there, his expression dark as a storm cloud, hands clenched into fists. But when his gaze landed on me—on the weakness in my face—he froze. His voice came out so gentle it almost startled me, careful and quiet, like he thought I might break. "Rena… are you all right?""I'm fine," I said evenly. "What are you doing here?"He faltered at the chill in my tone, searching for words before forcing them o

  • The Runaway Luna   Chapter 7

After three years apart, Caesar looked nothing like the proud Alpha I once knew. He was thinner, worn down—his body covered in dirt, his clothes torn and bloodied. Yet the bundle of wolf's tail flowers in his arms was spotless, as if he'd washed each one by hand.He caught me staring and shifted awkwardly, brushing at the grime on his chest. "Sorry. The cliffs there were steeper than I remembered. I was careful—after all, you fell there once—but still ended up like this."I didn't answer, just shook my head. I knew those cliffs well. I'd broken my leg there once just to pick a single bloom. For him to bring back an entire bundle meant he'd suffered far more than he let on.Then Caesar's gaze landed on the flowers Tand had brought me. His expression darkened immediately. He strode up to me, gripping my hand hard. "Rena, I… I picked your favorite wolf's tail flowers."I smiled faintly, plucked the brightest bloom from the bunch, and tossed it to the ground. "Thank you. But I don't

  • The Runaway Luna   Chapter 5

Caesar shifted into his wolf form and tore through the night, running full speed toward the villa. By the time he arrived, the place was already swallowed by flames. His eyes burned red. "Where's Rena?!"The servants trembled under his Alpha aura, their voices shaking. "We… we don't know."Their words said one thing, but their eyes flickered toward the fire.Rage surged through Caesar. He grabbed one by the collar and threw him aside. His expression darkened, monstrous. "Then tell me—how did this fire start? Did anyone see the Luna come out?!"The servants all fell to their knees, pale and terrified. "Alpha, please forgive us. The Luna returned heartbroken that night. She dismissed everyone from the villa. No one saw her come out. She's most likely…"Caesar's fury burst like a storm, his Alpha dominance filling the air. "Useless! All of you! How could you leave the Luna alone in there?!"The butler's voice shook. "It was her command, Alpha. We tried to report it to you, but yo
